A gem of a village pub serving pizzas, artisan burgers, pub classics with great pints and playgrounds. Set in the North Herts village of Weston. Acres of beer garden, kids play areas, families, muddy boots and dogs very welcome in our bar area. Our beautiful Pavilion restaurant is open for all day for reservations Mondays through to Sunday.
Our normal pub garden benches will be available as usual on a walk-in basis for food from our outside kitchen!
Our patio area is now available for bookings to guarantee your table outside, you can also order from our full restaurant menu!

Amazing setting with great views and outdoor space but the staff create such a calming atmosphere which tops it all off!!

Food was a bit low value for the prices, it’s really just burger and chips or pizza there isn’t much more on the menu - great but pricy if that’s what you are expecting, I thought given the prices it would be a bit better quality

Service was slow and non attentive, yet service charge added. Had a steak which had zero flavour for the cost. Pizzas packed flavour. Would not return.

Although it was busy the wait in food was crazy. Also when my food came I have to say the chicken burger was not even worth £10 (cost £16) and I even thought it was a kids meal! I could have gone to McDonalds and the presentation would have been better. Such a shame as the playground and beer garden is excellent.

Our main server Jaz was lovely and really helpful and she is a credit to The Cricketers. We had a long wait (almost an hour) for the food, which was at least part due to a very large group who had put in an order just before we arrived. We did get a small discount off the bill for that. When the food arrived though, was really good and worth the wait, also to once the starters did come, the mains and desserts were much quicker. All I’d say is factor in a long wait for the food, seems to be a bit of a recurring comment on the reviews and the kitchen needs to be a bit better with its time management, but the food is good value for money when it arrives, the staff are friendly and the cricketing theme is fun (especially for those of us who are fans of the game).

Booked for the restaurant, on arrival told we had to sit in the bar as there was no space in restaurant. Queued up at bar for 10 minutes to find out our table number which turned out to be already occupied. Had to find our own table. Bar staff did their best but far too many customers for the staff to deal with. Long wait for food. Pub is generally good, combination of good weather and Bank Holiday making it too busy. Not the service we were expecting, we were looking forward to a relaxing meal with table service, sadly we were sat in a busy bar and having to queue up each time to order drinks and food.

The roast dinner was unfortunately quite cold on arrival and the meat was incredibly chewy. We have been before and it was lovely but this time was disappointing
