The Cricketers Inn is everything you would expect from a traditional country pub: cosy interiors, open fire, well-kept ales, local gins, a good selection of wine and a warm welcome from the team. You can choose to dine in the restaurant, the dog-friendly bar area, or outside in our large beer garden.

Fabulous Sunday lunch as usual! Seasonal food at its best. I had the Isle of Wight tomato starter which was delicious followed by roast beef with piping hot vegetables and gravy. So good. For dessert we treated ourselves to the chocolate delice with clotted cream ice cream which was superb. All finished off with a lovely Chilean Chardonnay! Excellent service too.

As always the food was amazing. The pastry on the lamb and mint pie was just the best.

We love coming here the food and service is always amazing, hard to go anywhere else as the standard is so high. I haven’t given 5 stars for ambience as the chairs have seen better days, had to swap mine on arrival as it was so squeaky every time I moved.

There weren't many options on the menu and mostly pub food type. Very expensive in reality. View out ruined by scaffolding. Unfortunately a table of 9 very loud ladies next to us. Not the pubs fault but wow they were loud. The serving staff were exceptional though. So a bit disappointed and not in a rush to go back.

We have heard about the Pizza oven and thought we would try as we have eaten at the Cricketers before and food was lovely. The pizza's were really tasty and good value on a Thursday night as they are 2 for 1! So all ropund a nice experience. Stuart the Owner is always smiling and welcoming too.

The staff were very friendly and welcoming. The food was not as good as expected. Starter mackerel was overcooked and rather too well baked. The lamb and mushroom pie was different and interesting to try, but pastry a little soggy and not flakey so somewhat disappointing especially as we took two guests. Overall, we would not rate the meal and setting as highly as others have but perhaps we had a mid week experience which was exceptional.
