                We had an excellent meal - food was hot and very flavourful - the pub was busy and the ambience was great but not noisy - service was brilliant, couldn’t fault anything

                Andy and his team were super accommodating when I had to move my booking twice due to airport delays at Stansted. I requested a lovely table for a special occasion and they really looks after us. The staff are attentive and seem to have genuine camaraderie. I’m not usually in the area but if anyone is looking for a warm, friendly pub with great food, this is the place to be. Thank you Andy and Team. Rory and I are going strong - thank you for sending your love our way.

                I've eaten regularly at The Cricketers Arms over the last few years, and I particularly enjoy the vegetarian options, since they're more creative than those of many establishments and change fairly often. The beetroot falafel was very good this time, the crispy mozzarella starter was unusual, and the cranberry nut roast was very substantial with some good accompanying sauces - if a bit too solid for me itself. But it was available and again unusual. No pudding was taken as they looked all rather calorific and filling save the sorbets and ice creams. On previous occasions we found the latter rather too sweet, so chose not to check them out again. Maybe next time..... The ambience was very good, aided by fine weather and an accompanying live cricket match, and the place with its staff has a very good vibe. Definitely recommended!

                We had a lovely Roast at the cricketers arms on Sunday 26th May , the plates were hot which is a very good start and the meat was tender , we asked for the beef to be well done and it was perfect, my husband is vegetarian and he really enjoyed his nut roast and all the trimmings , the staff were all friendly and welcoming , the atmosphere was great too , with a happy and buzzy feel, we had a chat with the owner ( we think) as my mum was born in the pub 89 years ago ! we showed him some old photos of the pub which he found very interesting , we took her here for her birthday treat and we really enjoyed our time here and seeing the place of her birth and the little school that she went to , we had a lovely day and will definitely be returning. Thanks to all the lovely staff, keep up the good work guys ! and thanks again see you soon !

                First time booking a table & meal through this site, very easy to use and navigate! Originally booked the table to 5 people but only 4 managed to come. No issues from the Cricketers about this. When we arrived we were made to feel very welcome, the staff were very warming to us and nothing was too much trouble. The food was superb with no concerns. I would highly recommend the Cricketers for a meal either eating in the restaurant or on the picnic tables outside weather permitting. Thankyou again for a lovely meal and hope to eat there again in the future!
