The Crab at Bournemouth is one of Dorset's finest, AA rated 2 rosette seafood restaurant.
Situated directly opposite the Bournemouth International Center and just moments from Bournemouth Pier.
Our passionate chefs create an array of delicious dishes sourced from fresh, local produce. Our contemporary surroundings have friendly and personable staff that will make you feel most welcome.
A lovely, relaxing atmosphere with an open balcony when weather permits.

A £5 per person deposit fee is required to make a restaurant booking to confirm and secure the reservation.

Dress Code of Smart Casual (No sportswear, fleeces, sliders, flip flops or beachwear) enforced from 5:30pm. You will be refused entry if not dressed in smart casual attire.

Children aged 8 and under may dine in the restaurant on tables booked with adults between 5:30pm-7:30pm, children's menu is also available. If you are more than 15 minutes late to a booking, there is a possibility your table my no longer be available.

Just brilliant food, cooked to perfection and superb service from friendly staff. We had one of the best seafood meals there and really enjoyed it. I also have to mention the excellent piano player for providing such a great ambiance to the evening. Ten out of ten.

Arrived at 8pm for our table and did not get our mains until 9.20. Staff seemed to be looking after the larger tables more than the smaller tables. We did get given a small glass of wine as a gesture but to be honest the evening was ruined and my food was just mediocre wirh the smallest piece of cod in the world and an over salty boullobaosw sauce. Very disappointed indeed.

We have been to the crab before and had a lovely. But unfortunately this time the food wasn't as nice. The chips were awful fish lovely chefs surprise was cold on the plate Overall very disappointed.

Starter and maincourse absolutely top. Not easy when you have shellfish allergy! Best seafood (mackerel and hake) dishes I had for ages. Think interior could use a critical eye but easily done, just do it!

Loved this place, a few years back...sense change of ownership. All the staff were great, but seemed to have a different 'theme' or flavour to the dishes, couldnt find a pudding I liked, and compared to Nero next door, not as upmarket, given prices.

I would recommend the Crab at Bournemouth, the food was outstanding and the service was efficient, I would visit again when next in Bournemouth.
