We almost had the restaurant to ourselves, which was nice. We sat right next to the fireplace on a cool evening. Service was helpful and friendly. We ordered steaks and the meat was charred. Just not how we like our beef to taste. We would go back and simply order a different entree. Other than that, all was nice.

This was our first time to visit the restaurant. The food was great but we didn't get appetizers as advertised because they ran out of them and they were not offered as the first course. The meal was great and dessert was great. The wine was not offered, we had to ask for it. The salad was brought out after the meal not before. Waiter did not check on us to see if we needed anything. With the prize we paid the service should have been better.

Wait staff was not prepared or trained for this event. I don't think the restaurant was prepared for the event either, even though they knew how many were coming. They ran out of baked potatoes, cheesecake, and some appetizers. The table next to us got their salad in the form of half a head of lettuce with some cheese and toppings sprinkled on top of it. Aside from that, the food was really good. It just lacked experience which led to long wait times, orders getting messed up, and some things being forgotten. The only reason I would recommend the Cove to a friend is because they seem to have potential. They just have to get it together.

It was valentine's night with a limited but awesome selection, Since it was reservation only they should have had more servers. Otherwise it was great! Once the server arrived, the service was quick efficient and the food was fantastic. We will be back.

The bar took a while to get my drink. When we got our ticket I had noticed we didn't get charged for it. I mentioned it to our waitress. She stated that they didn't charge me for it because it took so long to get it. I have never ate anywhere where they accept faults without having to point it out. They seem to pace the food to give you time to complete your appetizer before your main course. I would recommend the cajun stuff chicken, and the cobb salad too.

Unfortunately, the food was marginal at best. We ordered what they called 'smoked pot roast'. The description of the dish sounded great and when I have had similar items elsewhere, the meat is usually 'cut with your fork' tender and flavorful. The meat that was served a) did not taste like it had been smoked, b) was tough and full of fat, c) had the consistency and taste of a dried up piece of cheap roast beef. We were obviously disappointed. The saving grace was that the manager, who also happened to be our waitperson, did not charge us for the meals when I pointed the above problems out to her.

The seafood buffet was good but the steaks were amazing. Shoutout to the cook for steaks cooked to perfection !! We will be back soon for the steak !

This café has good food and excellent, friendly service. We had a nice table in front of the fire overlooking the lake. We want to come back in warmer weather to enjoy the outdoor patio - which looked amazing!
