Went for a birthday meal with the family. We all had a lovely meal and the atmosphere is always so welcoming and friendly. Highly recommend.

The Calverys had run short of vegetables, roast potatoes, beef, gammon, yorkshire puddings and cauliflower cheese. Had to wait for about 6 mins with a plate full of meat getting cold until it was replenished. I requested gammon and was served an end piece, very small and tough so left that, also had turkey which was OK, the potatoes were anemic, green beans slimey and cauliflower cheese not very cheesey. Yorkshire pudding was OK and gravy nice, but the gravy bucket was almost empty. Perhaps we should gone before 6pm. Service was very good from the waiter and waitress but the calvery server was quite grumpy.

I had no choice but to score things I cannot review. Appalling customer service. Sat for 20 minutes with various staff in passing in close vascinity numerous times. No acknowledgement at all. Not even a hello. Not even a we aren’t open yet. Having worked in hospitality, I’d say there is no excuse for this. I will not return & will ask anyone who asks me a true account of our experience. We booked elsewhere and had lovely service

Always love visiting this pub for a meal and drinks with a nice warm welcome from the staff who work there. The service was good and the food was excellent at a good price. Special mention to Lauren who always makes us welcome every time we visit. She is exactly what front of house should be. On this occasion we had a waitress who we hadn’t met before, Jade, who was very attentive, professional and friendly. She hasn’t been there very long but she was very efficient.

Had a lovely meal here for a family birthday yesterday - the staff couldn't have been more accommodating and were welcoming without being too much. Really nice interaction with our young daughter too, which is always appreciated. Food was excellent - we all ate from the £12 lunch and drink deal and everything was delicious. Cannot fault it and will be back soon, I'm sure

Unfortunately just as we arrived there was a power cut. This made things very difficult for the staff, but they coped fantastically. Power was totally off so it effected the kitchen, tills etc. We were lucky to still have the carvery, which was excellent. We will be back and have already booked for Christmas Day.

My mum and I had a lovely sunday carvery here, we both had the small plate and left completely full up. It is exceptional value for money and the staff are all lovely too.

Excellent quality breakfast, cooked perfectly. Lovely clean restaurant. Cereal, fruit cocktail, yoghurt and toast with pastries. Lovely juice and alternative oat milk. Nothing was too much trouble. Fabulous service. We will be back.
