Since the new staff have taken over the countryman, the food has improved beyond recognition. The atmosphere is pleasant and warm, the staff friendly and welcoming. we highly recommend the Countryman on all levels

We were totally satisfied with meal and service. Parking car was a bit of a problem due to space in car park.

Everything about our visit was fine. Having never been before we didn't know that they show the football so the background noise was quite bad

The staff were very friendly and they catered well for gluten free, I just wish the menu was marked with what dishes could be done gluten free instead of being given an allergy separate menu. They were very busy when we visited and had quite a wait with our food but they did take some money off the bill which we appreciated.

Visited here quite a few times for carvery which is outstanding!! Food, service and atmosphere is normally excellent. Monday night, the starter took an hour to come out which was only garlic sour dough. It was quite busy for a Monday night though, probably 3/4 full. Chicken pappardelle pasta was tasty but the chicken was dry like it had been sat for a while. Won’t deter us from coming to this lovely local pub though as usually it is excellent! Would recommend the carvery and warm cookie dough dessert if you can fit it in!

Food order was wrong and bill incorrect. Simple mistakes and quickly rectified, but not very professional.

Probably chose wrong day and time for booking as our booking clashed with quiz night and restaurant area became full off dog owners. Should have been warned off this. Food not the best watery defrosted prawns, main courses not presented well and consistent with a long end of day service. I’m sure on another occasion it would be better. Lady serving behind the bar was excellent inspite of being busy
