Taking its distinct taste inspirations mainly from Southeastern Anatolia Region, The Counter enriches its presentation and atmosphere with the cultural heritage of the Balkans.

Fire, both literally and figuratively, is at the heart of what we do here. Its igniting power fuels our passion and nurtures us with inspiration.

With this passion, The Counter seeks and finds the best artisans, be it a butcher, a blacksmith, or a potter, who are amorously committed to their crafts. It then brings the best of these crafts and techniques from their local ateliers to The Counter’s London location.

We sat at the counter for a long overdue catch-up with small and sharing plates, it was lovely, there was a lot of variety in the dishes but everything was perfectly executed. Will definitely be back as so many more stages to try!

Was a nice selection of food and drinks to choose from which were Served in good time. Nice location and atmosphere with polite staff. Would go again.

The food was pretty good but not great. We were told that this isn't just Turkish food but Mediterranean food, or a mix of Greek and Turkish food. The service was outstanding, and the servers were very friendly. It was an interesting culinary experience, but not necessarily one that I'd repeat.

Excellent food- nicest meal I’ve had in ages. Staff were so lovely and friendly. Would recommend the Counter to anyone!

We started with some pita and a selection of dips and starters. We received a single piece of pita cut up into 4 pieces which costs £8. We then asked for more and received the same again. I had lamb chops for my main course, which tasted ok but were very overcooked. It came with mash potato which was very lumpy. Overall, the food wasn’t great and it was expensive.

The service wasn’t great. We had problems with the wine, they brought us the brong bottle and the empty food plates stayed on the table for the entire night.
