Food and restaurant itself are wonderful but the service always seems to be slow and inattentive, when it’s busy, when it’s not busy…

Outstanding cocktails including a Healthy Sailor that I would definitely order again. Delicious appetizers including a beet and strawberry salad with goat cheese that was fabulous. Memorable entrees including poached halibut lightly sauced with turmeric and morels… simply wonderful and beautifully prepared. Best of three desserts was chocolate peanut butter sundae but only if you have a huge appetite for sweets. The roasted peach and ricotta ice cream was excellent. Baked pineapple and ginger sorbet was inspired.

Creative and delicious fares. Our 8:45 pm table was not ready when we arrived so we had a cocktail at the bar. Both bartenders were fun and energetic. I recommend the spicy pear martini. We ordered some bites at the bar to get started. The bao buns are awesome. We finally moved to our table 30 minutes afterwards. We had a delicious dinner, but our server was grumpy and visibly unhappy that we were dining late. That was rude, particularly when considering the fact that we were on time but our table was not. We will still go back because the food is so good, but that was unfortunate .

Great date place. Noise level is energetic but still allows for a good convo. Every meal here offers surprises (good ones). They rotate menu items enough to be intriguing while still accommodating the semi-regulars. Leave those scallops over crispy rice, the do-it-yourself brisket bao buns and the savory oven-roasted burger on forever, please! Let’s talk cocktails: Diego is da hombre!! Smart flavor balances that are artful while being less intrusive to the menu. I’m not a fan of mixology being the superstar and blowing me off the map with overdone flavors before I eat. And I think they’ve really walked the walk here. Wine choices are nicely done as well. But I do miss the prior Giovanni nebbiolo (i bought several bottles after I had it here. But the 2020 vintage now unavailable makes me understand why they swapped it). Fish entree’s are just so delicious and delicate. Last night’s butter-poached halibut melted in my mouth. And the gentle use of coconut sauce with the citrus kick was again, seasoned properly without taking away from the flavor of the protein. Some appetizers are artfully presented to the point of being rather small (the snapper crudo) left me wanting 2 more orders due to its size and yumminess. Was it PT Barnum that said, “always leave your audience wanting more”?? Dessert? I’ll bet its great. but after eating 1/2 the menu, i’ve not had room for more than the delectable cookies! Next time, peanut butter sundae. Next time. STAFF: Superb, friendly, efficient. We LOVE Diego at the bar. Did we mention him already? LOL We are always well greeted (even before they recognized us as repeat diners.)

Loved it! Small table, crowded night, kinda loud, but food was exceptional! Scallop on the crispy rice, crab toasts, snapper crudo, half order of the nettle pasta, and the halibut and scallop entrees, all perfectly prepared, flavorful and would do over. Dessert was dark & stormy ice cream which was a bit too ginger-y. It obscured any other flavors in the dish. My husband loves ginger and this was even too powerful for him. It was good but you really gotta love ginger. Service by Diego was exceptional and our night was fantastic. Can't wait to go back, I highly recommend!

My favorite restaurant in Greenwich! Food is great! I was surprised they had us keep our dirty cutlery for our 2nd course but maybe it was just one person that didn't know better. Other than that everything was exceptional as always!

My fiancé and I were very disappointed in The Cottage. All of the food we had was severely under seasoned, to the point we started joking that the cooks were afraid of using seasoning (and, in particular, salt). The food had no flavor at all, from the bao buns to the burger. About half of the food we had was cooked excellently, but the bread we were given was stale (to the point you could not eat the bread around the crusts or the crusts for fear of breaking a tooth), the scallops were underdone, and the fries with my burger were overcooked to the point that they had a texture closer to funnel cake than to fries. Normally, this wouldn’t push me to give two stars, but we paid $160.00 for 2 apps, bread, 2 entrees, and 2 drinks and at that price point I would expect something much better than what we got.
