The Cotswold Guy, born out of bespoke private cheffing using the finest British ingredients, offers heart-warming hospitality and high-quality food and beverage produce across its farm shops, restaurant, café, online shop and catering & events service. Based across the length and breadth of the Cotswolds, we provide quality, locally-sourced ingredients and dishes, inspired by elevating the much-loved British Classics, to our ever-growing base of loyal and repeat clients.

The Cotswold Guy, Gagingwell (near Chipping Norton), is our latest opening, giving guests the opportunity to eat in or takeaway. We have all of the old TCG favourites, as well as some outstanding new additions!

Serving breakfast and lunch everyday, we are also pleased to offer Friday Pizza Day & Saturday Steak & Lobster Nights

                    I would like to give a higher overall rating but a couple of really important details let the whole evening down. Firstly, we weren’t made aware (until it was too late) of the limitations of their liquor license which prevents selling beyond 8.15pm. And were only offered an opportunity to order a drink at the very beginning - so one was all we had. The other was the closing time which for a Friday was disappointingly early. I think we were shuffled out at 9.30pm and left wanting! Lovely ambience, and we (4 of us) enjoyed the pizzas. Service staff were very nice but inattentive. Early communication either at the time of booking or upon arrival would have been enough to improve our overall impression but sadly we’re unlikely to return.

                    The food was amazing!! The beef wellington did not disappoint and my son didn’t stop talking about how nice it was all the way home. The staff were friendly and accommodating.

                    Wonderful place to bring elderly parents for a delicious breakfast in a quiet relaxed atmosphere!! Delicious food! More than we could eat! Thoroughly enjoyed it!

                    Usually we can’t fault our visits but the last 2 times the food is great as ever but the service has been particularly lacking sadly. Confusion over olive order. None the first time and the second time they seemed to think we wanted them IN the drinks (beer & shandy!) Caesar salad with the chicken on the side, so it was half a chicken literally on a separate plate, unprepared. Just weird. Desserts and coffees didn’t arrive at all! Very sad it’s become like this as it was our favourite place.

                    A hidden gem tucked away in the countryside. We went on a Saturday evening and had the ribs. Incredible. Great place. We will be back.

                    excellent place for eating and to shop in their small, but perfect deli The food was excellent and the staff were charming and efficient without being intrusive They have various seating options and lovely outdoor covered area Highly recommended - although I don't want people to know about this place, I'm posting because I much rather want it to stay open...
