   Little disappointed with our meal. We have been many times before and enjoyed the quality and portion sizes of the fish. However, on this occasion we ordered sea bass as catch of the day and was surprised to receive such a small fishfinger size portion. It was tiny and for £25 not worth the money. There are plenty of restaurants in the area offering a generous portion for less cost. The fries were somewhat cold and I couldn’t eat the salad because it was covered in pickled vinegar. So for £25 I received a small portion of sea bass, and four potatoes! My partners fish was better but sadly the size of the lobster was also small, the single platter had one claw which gave a two inch piece of lobster. The value of this at £35 again was very expensive. We would not be returning. We left with a total bills over £100 with drinks, and had to go and eat somewhere else an hour later???

   The food was a 10 out of 10, with dishes bursting with flavour. However, the service felt short, with long waits for drinks and no follow-up for refills or dessert, overshadowing the excellence of the food. Given the stunning location, better service would have created the perfect dining experience.

   Totally reccomend! Food was great, lovely setting, staff helpful and atmosphere wonderful. Great menu , staff were great with recommendations and attentive

   Nice quirky place, food was superb, ate upstairs inside with views to the sea.

   We had an excellent lunch at The Copper Clam. The menu is varied and inventive and and there are meat dishes although seafood is the speciality. The service was excellent, with friendly and efficient staff. I look forward to my next visit.

   Very disappointed with the service, the mussels were delicious, this is just one plus out of many minuses. In the restaurants where I have been before, the main dish of mousseles is initially served with fries and necessarily a French baguette, but here, with the high price, fries had to be ordered separately, we were not even offered to order a baguette. The strawberry daiquiri is only the name because what I was served was just a few crushed strawberries with ice. The service staff is not interested in the customers at all, all the people sitting at the tables waited a long time for their order, and also waited a long time for the bill to pay. There is no desire to return, although the location itself is very pleasant.

   Lovely atmosphere and friendly staff however mussels were slightly over cooked, but still tasted good and everything else tasted good. My main complaint is a tiny bit of bread is FIVE pounds! We were going to order more and glad we didn’t because we didn’t realise until we got the bill and could’ve easily spent £20+ on a couple bites of bread (it was good bread I’ll give them that but no bread that size is worth that much)

    No-one likes to see a restaurant team struggling. But this was a bit of a shambles. The weather was perfect. The restaurant wasn't overrun. So Copper Clam should have smashed it. We waited 15 minutes before someone took our drinks order. Alarm bells should have rung when "Catch of the Day" was confirmed as Salmon. The restaurant is in Brighton. Not Inverness or Anchorage. The salmon was at best average, and £25. The starters were unremarkable. And small. 3 modest-sized "Tiger Prawns" for £9. For a family of 4, with the kids having goujons and chips, to arrive at £180 for the food, 4 alcoholic drinks (the 2 glasses of wine arriving midway through the meal) and 2 lemonades, with a 12.5% service charge included...frankly left a bad taste in the mouth. We were told that a member of staff had called in sick. Even if that was the case, at full complement, the outcome I fear would have been much the same. Quite disappointing.
