The Copper Clam is a seafood, shellfish & steak restaurant located on Brighton beach in the famous historic Arches. Enjoy your meal with stunning sea views from the upstairs dining room and sheltered patio if alfresco is your choice. We specialise in fine fresh seafood served in a relaxed environment, with an extensive selection of beers, wines & spirits.

The interior is beautiful but not well kept. Our table was dusty and full of crumbs when we entered. The server was nice enough to clean it for us and apologise, he was sweet but the receptionist or host just left us on it. Not sure if we’d ever visit again.

My wife & I ordered Oysters( 9 each) & basket of bread & butter.The Oyster to be fair were lovely, but very long wait,wife joked maybe they have run out ? When they arrived the bread was a btread roll on a slate and a knob of butter.I challenged waiter who responded that’s how we do it? On checking bill, I was charged for ‘basket of bread’. Again I challenged waiter who went off to speak with head Chef.Again message back it’s how we do it? I commented if advertise and charge for a product it should be delivered and in a timely manner .I have visited Copper Clam on No occasions.On this hugely disappointing both service and incorrect menu.Oysters lovely.

Absolutely fantastic! We would never eat anywhere else in Brighton. 5 stars for everything, richly deserved. We can't believe anywhere could be so perfect ! Please eat here, you will not be disappointed!

This is probably our go to restaurant. Always know what your going to get and the food never disappoints. Shame they’ve put all the prices up so much. £8.50 for a pint of beer is slightly strong.

The restaurant is lucky to have Oli, his service was exceptional with full of energy. The foods were awesome, we particularly loved the mussels that were very fresh and full of flesh. Would love to visit again, thank so much!

First visit to The Copper Clam, hopefully not our last. The service was really good, both very friendly and very efficient. The food was delicious. We opted for one of the smaller patters and while we would have loved to go for the larger one, we could not possibly have eaten it all between us and we thoroughly enjoyed the one we did order. Fresh, delicious from start to finish. We shared the BBQ Scallops and the Jerk breaded quid as starters, both delicious, then had the Crab Platter which was fabulous and we both finished with Affogato martinis, which we sinfully indulgent and so worth it. Looking forward to coming back in the future, next time we'll come with friends and order the Shellfish platter... a larger party had that at a nearby table and it also looked fantastic! Mostly though, the setting, the food, the service (& thus ambience) combined for a wonderful evening of great food and beverages.
