Wonderful experience! From the moment we walked in, we recieved five-star service from the hosts, our fantastic waitress and the executive chef. Service was prompt, professional, warm and always with a smile. The ambiance was amazing. upscale, contemporary, Afrocentric theme, with accompanying music. Large space, so we were not "knocking elbows" with our neighbors. Beautiful artistry, lighting and furniture, including the marble tables. Most importantly, the food was amazing. The gulf tiger shrimp, plaintain fritters and whole branzino were all fresh, wonderfully seasoned and beautifully ordained. Jolloff rice was very tasty. All food portions were large and the cocktails were well mixed and garnished. Definately looking forward to my next visit.

I booked this venue for my manager and his colleague. He expressed how amazing the experience was. The food was amazing! The service was welcoming and polite. The ambiance was super friendly! A must-visit in the DC area or wherever you are!

Restaurant Review: I recently had the pleasure of dining at a black-owned excellent restaurant, The Continent DC, and I must say, it exceeded all of my expectations. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with a warm and inviting atmosphere. The decor was stylish and modern, creating a comfortable and enjoyable dining experience. Now, let's talk about the food. The menu offered a wide variety of options, from appetizers to desserts. Each dish was beautifully presented and bursting with flavor. The ingredients were fresh and of the highest quality, making every bite a delight. The chef's attention to detail was evident in every dish, showcasing their culinary expertise. But it wasn't just the food that made this restaurant stand out. The service was exceptional. Our waitress was attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable about the menu. Her recommendations were spot-on, and she was happy to accommodate any special requests we had. She is also a great bartender! Drinks were on point. She isVery professional and showed genuine care for our experience.

Service was great from the hostess to the waiter. Food was a flavorful and had options at different spice levels and price points. The beef suya bites were bomb delicious and the west African sauce that came with it were delightful. As they head to their hard opening, looking forward to coming back to experience more of the menu.

Wait time was INSANE (over 2.5 hrs) for mediocre food at best. Our hopes were high for our friend’s bday dinner. They were out of menu items, offered us free drinks & then took over 30 min to bring those! Very disappointing for our 1st time. I may go back 1 more time since I know it’s still new, but if they don’t improve, I will stick with Swahili Village & Moi Moi for my downtown African dinner options.

Our recent visit to The Continent DC was a delightful experience from start to finish. The atmosphere exuded warmth and relaxation, perfect for our large party. It was clear that every member of the staff was dedicated to ensuring guests had a wonderful time. The service was attentive and the ambiance was just right for a fun and hassle-free evening. The food was truly outstanding, with flavors that transported us back to Africa. Each dish showcased delicious combinations that were a fusion of spices and tastes from across the continent. While we thoroughly enjoyed our meal, we did find that some dishes were a bit pricey, such as the $47 Tiger Prawns, which seemed steep even for this neighborhood. Overall, THE Continent DC is a vibrant and cool spot to dine, people-watch, and savor the essence of African cuisine. With a bit of fine-tuning in pricing and presentation, it could be even more exceptional. We look forward to returning and enjoying more of what this unique place has to offer."
