After four successful years on the Upper West Side, we are thrilled to be opening our second location, bringing The Consulate’s diverse and global concept to Midtown. We welcome our regulars, new neighbors and friends, to experience the space, which celebrates the French-style bistro of our sister location with a few surprises across the board, ranging from exciting additions to the food & beverage menu to a refreshed design. We look forward to Midtown discovering what The Consulate is all about,” said Restaurateurs Metodija and Kiril Mihajlov.

The Consulate captures the city’s rich diversity and vibrant mix of world influences throughout its concept, food & beverage and design. The idea of The Consulate was born from Metodija’s experience as a foreigner pursuing the American dream in New York City.

Der Geräuschpegel war immens ! Es war so laut dass wir unser eigenes Wort nicht verstehen konnten! Schade, das Essen war ok und die Bedienung hat sich sehr bemüht aber nach dem Essen sind wir sofort raus um unsere Ohren zu schonen ! Ansonsten nett eingerichtet für einen Drink an der Bar mit einer Kleinigkeit zum Essen prima !

Fun first visit - good food choices, excellent mussels and broiled artichoke dishes. Friendly service, a little slow but professional.

Dinner before the show was fantastic! The service Caesar provided was exceptional; attentive but not hovering. He was pleasant and knowledgeable. The food was great, too! We would definitely recommend The Consulate to anyone visiting the City.

The Consulate is a newer NYC restaurant maybe 18 months old. Went for an anniversary dinner. They exceeded my expectations. Caesar our waiter was excellent. The food great and I'm a retired professional Chef. The ambience is nicely done , with lively bar and happy hour downstairs and a relaxing more formal dinner upstairs. Also falls into a moderately priced menu, with a good variety of items. Give this restaurant a try, I know for sure I'll be returning.

Poor food quality for the cost! Do not order the shrimp cocktail! $29 for some really poor quality shrimp!

Elegant and beautiful restaurant with delicious food, highly recommended! Wait staff is friendly and knowledgeable, food is very tasty and perfectly seasoned , we enjoyed!

LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this place. They have EVERYTHING you could possibly want. Food was OUTSTANDING. Service was AMAZING. Cocktails were spot on.
