After four successful years on the Upper West Side, we are thrilled to be opening our second location, bringing The Consulate’s diverse and global concept to Midtown. We welcome our regulars, new neighbors and friends, to experience the space, which celebrates the French-style bistro of our sister location with a few surprises across the board, ranging from exciting additions to the food & beverage menu to a refreshed design. We look forward to Midtown discovering what The Consulate is all about,” said Restaurateurs Metodija and Kiril Mihajlov.

The Consulate captures the city’s rich diversity and vibrant mix of world influences throughout its concept, food & beverage and design. The idea of The Consulate was born from Metodija’s experience as a foreigner pursuing the American dream in New York City.

Poor food quality for the cost! Do not order the shrimp cocktail! $29 for some really poor quality shrimp!

Elegant and beautiful restaurant with delicious food, highly recommended! Wait staff is friendly and knowledgeable, food is very tasty and perfectly seasoned , we enjoyed!

LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this place. They have EVERYTHING you could possibly want. Food was OUTSTANDING. Service was AMAZING. Cocktails were spot on.

The bartender was the owner that afternoon at brunch and what a lovely man!! Our food was delicious - was a great atmosphere - beautiful decor. i would return to hang out at the bar or have dinner. He mentioned some price fixe lunches.

Great food, incredible service. We had a large party of 7. The food and Steak temperatures were a little on the cooler side when received , but the flavors and doneness were good.

Delicious place to eat, but LOUD. Hard to hear conversations. Steak, bass, and chicken were very tasty, but I'd recommend the steak overall. Caesar was attentive and quick. I'd recommend it to anyone.

Great dinner at The Consulate, the food was delicious very tasty! Loved the lemon flavor of the salmon on top of the spinach, Steak Frites was cooked to perfection w/Truffle fried and Sea bass was light & fresh. The chocolate flourless lava cake was rich but not overwhelming.
