The Connaught Grill, once one of London’s most celebrated restaurants, has returned to The Connaught giving a respectful nod to its distinguished heritage. Design of the restaurant is led by interior architect John Heah with a strong focus on art and craftsmanship complete with extraordinary signature wall panels, tables and chairs made by Mira Nakashima bespoke for the space.

Located on the ground floor of the hotel, the intimate 46-seat Connaught Grill is under the direction of internationally renowned chef Jean-Georges Vongerichten. This is his modern interpretation of a classic grill with an open kitchen complete with wood-burning grill and rotisserie offering the finest British sourced produce. The menu includes ingredients from Gillardeau oysters and Dover sole to British game and Wagyu beef along with an exceptional wine list drawn from The Connaught wine cellar.

Service was great, very attentive. Nice ambiance. I expected more from the food, beef could be better. Sunday roast was not available at dinner and the website picture showing a beef en croute was not what they offered anymore anyway. This was misleading. Comfortable meal in a nice hotel and environemnt.

What a cracking evening!! Was trying to cheer a good friend up and we did the special set game menu. The food was impeccable and the service was attentive without being intrusive, they really looked after us well. It wasn’t cheap, but you get what you pay for and the sommelier helped us find a suitable wine to accompany our meal. Was a really lovely 4 hrs and I look forward to being able to go back.

Food was on par with any decent restaurant. Certainly not worth the eye watering prices. Service was attentive , if a bit too formal. Dining room is supposed to be atmospheric where you see the kitchen but I would rather have not seen the chef , who had a bad cold, and swore a few times.

They expected us and they knew we were on the FT menu. We loved our night at the Connaught. The food and service was outstanding. The crepe suzettes were a table-side performance and delicious!

Our dinner where we were celebrating our daughters engagement was nothing but splendid. Always maintains the highest standard of service, food, wine and ambience. The Connaught Grill is a must for each trip to the UK. We thoroughly enjoyed the evening. Thank you to all the staff for a memorable occasion, again.

A special place for a special occasion. Fixed price menu excellent value but wine list exorbitant £45 for a half bottle of unexceptional white wine!
