Restaurant Review: A Wonderful Evening at The Common Ground I recently dined at The Common Ground and had an overall great experience. From the moment we were seated, Rick, our waiter, made the evening truly enjoyable. He was professional, attentive, and had a great balance of friendliness without being intrusive. He was easy to talk to and offered helpful recommendations without being pushy, which added to the relaxed vibe of our meal. I ordered the filet, and it was cooked to perfection—tender, juicy, and exactly how I like it. The sides were fresh and complemented the dish beautifully. I was pleasantly surprised by the reasonable prices, especially given the quality of the food. This place definitely offers good value for the money. The only downside was the lighting. For a dinner after sunset, I expected a more dim, intimate ambiance. However, the lighting was quite bright, which took away from the cozy atmosphere I was hoping for. It didn’t ruin the experience, but a softer, warmer light would have made the evening perfect. Overall, I’d recommend The Common Ground for its excellent service (thanks to Rick!) and delicious food. Just be prepared for a bit more brightness than you might expect for an evening meal.

Enjoyed our experience and our waitress was attentive and helpful when making dinner selections. Highly recommend the vanilla roasted beet salad. I could eat it for dessert!

The restaurant was empty and for good reason. There were six of people in the restaurant. The food was served cold, the portions were extremely small and had no taste. Ordered the clams with linguine. There were a total of six little neck clams (cold). The since had no taste. Other members of my party ordered baked rigatoni. There portion of pasta was smaller than the pasta with the clam sauce and was also cold. The waitress, while very nice easily confused. Overall this was a poor dining experience. The atmosphere and location are prime so I hope this establishment can correct their issues before they wind up out of business.

Benedict was alright though not exactly as described. While the food was tasty overall, the service was very slow for how few customers there were. While they were friendly it was just not something I would do again.

Everything was lovely. Invited my friend to see the fabulous art and eat brunch. She said the benson burger was one of the best she’s had. I went outside of my wheelhouse and had the avocado toast. They were both lovely and presented quite nicely. My avocado toast was something very unusual for me but for some reason was calling and it was absolutely delicious. I added chili oil plus a few dashes of salt and WOW!! My friends Parmesan fries were knock your socks off. Hot crunch on the outside and perfectly tasty. Not to speak of the art in The Benson. It is absolutely fabulous museum quality. We had such a great Saturday afternoon there. Highly recommend. Oh yes! Last time I went for happy hour. Serves daily at the bar from 2-6. Also delightful!!

The whole experience was just "ok". It's definitely not a spot for a fun, vibrant, festive brunch experience. The best part of the food was the potatoes.

Rick was a great waiter and very attentive and helpful. Good quality was excellent! We loved sharing the Strawberry/ Buratta salad. The location is very nice and the Benson Hotel looks like a very. Ice place to stay. The tap beers weren’t cold enough, but Rick was happy we raised this point since they determined that something was amiss with the refrigeration. Quickly got us replacements. Also, this is very neer the UCHealth and Children Hospitals.

The hostess was very nice and welcoming! The dining experience was topped with our waitress Michelle! Extremely in cue with our party. Exquisite plates!
