Perfect place for a special celebration, such as an Anniversary. Stunning atmosphere, very elegant. Our meal was delightful. We enjoyed our time at the bar as well, the view of the lake is Hevenly, the bartender made us feel right at home. Such a blessing to see this business in our area. Thank you for restoring such a historical place so well. Felt like a dream I never wanted to end.

To start with, the staff at Commodore were exceedingly nice. We were enthusiastically welcomed by the host, water person & server. Another positive is we had 2 birthdays in our group who each got a free dessert. That was very generous of the restaurant to acknowledge them with a special treat. Now for the negatives. First, one of our guests walked with a cane. We walked past at least two tables for 6 to our table in back of restaurant. Don’t sit someone who struggles to walk at the back of the restaurant. Second, Service was very slow. Took probably 20 mins after sitting down before we even got our main menus. I had to ask for water refill 3 times. Server said she would remove our unused glasses. Never did, we finally had to ask her to remove them. Food was mediocre at best. Shrimp & lobster bisque was fine but I’ve had a lot better. My table mates loved their beef Wellington but at $150 for two, it better be good. The worst thing about Commodore is how loud it is. We had to almost yell just to be heard around our table of 6. The noise is so loud, it ruins anything that is good about the restaurant. Sorry Bartollatas, but this isn’t one of your better offerings.

This was a family celebration dinner as all three of our birthdays fall in September, and as fans of all the Bartolotta restaurants (Harbor House as the favorite), we were very excited to try The Commodore, but unfortunately it left us a bit disappointed. The decor and view are amazing and we had a beautiful sunset. The service staff was attentive and professional however, it is very loud and the food was just OK. We started our meal with a half dozen raw oysters, which were delicious and ordered an artisanal cheese plate, but unfortunately needed to return it as there was a large pile of walnuts and there was a nut allergy in our party which we called out in the reservations and then again with our server, but it still was missed. For our main courses, we ordered the wagyu New York strip, a fillet and lobster, but everything seems to have a sauce on it. Due to the nut allergy and the abundance of nuts in dishes on the menu, we did not have any dessert. Commodore is a very pretty restaurant however, it is a bit pricey for what you get for food that is just okay. I also agree with other reviews as I am not sure the point of calling out a celebratory reason for being at the restaurant if nothing is done about it. This is a new restaurant so we understand there are still a few hiccups that may need to be worked out. We may be back again in a few months as we really want them to succeed.

We're glad you enjoyed the oysters and the beautiful view, but we understand your disappointment with other aspects of your meal.

Last night was our first opportunity to enjoy The Commodore. It did NOT disappoint ! Great facilities, views and atmosphere. Very well trained and knowledgeable staff. We will return often. A truly great find in this lovely area.

Everything was great except the noise level was high. Had to speak up quite a bit. Hopefully you can do something about it.

Chloe, Rami, Grace and Dennis gave us wonderful experience for our anniversary and they were very pleasant and accommodating. The food was excellent

Our food was wonderful. The colors and decor are beautiful. Hats off to the pastry chef, too! We will be back! So glad you're in Lake Country!

We had cocktails in the bar before dinner. It was a beautiful night and was hoping to sit on the patio overlooking the lake but it was not open. So that was a bummer. Had an issue with our glasses of wine at the start. But it was quickly resolved. The food was fantastic and it was a lovely meal. The ambiance and decor are stunning.
