Coach House, 2x James Beard Award and Jean Banchet Award-nominated Chef Zubair's Mohajir’s latest venture, is a Tasting Menu experience featuring a heavy dose of South Indian flavors whilst avoiding direct tradition. Coach House is located in the rear of Lilac Tiger's street food location, on Division St.

Our 7-course Tasting Menu rotates seasonally, and is featured on Friday and Saturday nights at 5:45pm and 8:30pm; this experience gives insight into the culinary traditions that Chef Zubair was raised with, reimagined through a modern lens.

Your experience can be supplemented with one of our thoughtfully-curated wine and cocktail pairings, or you and your guests can select your sipper from our worldly wine list, elegant cocktails, and vibrant and non-alcoholic signature drinks.

In this 7-course tasting menu experience, curated by James Beard Award-nominated Chef Zubair Mohajir, you will be taken through Chef's food memories of his home in Chennai, Tamil Nadu while also exploring the South Asian subcontinent. The Coach House experience honors age-old traditions while pushing the boundaries of South Asian cuisine. No modifications allowed. Your $50 deposit goes towards your $120 dining experience. Pairings are available for $70 per person. Please note that we cannot accommodate vegetarian/vegan menus, as well as allergies to soy, sesame, and gluten. This menu will also utilize pork, so it is not a guaranteed halal experience. Join us at Coach House on Sunday, December 15th for a unique 6-course Filipino & Korean dining experience. Chefs Jacob Dela Cruz and Junho Lee come together to share a story of family traditions and flavors—two cultures, one unforgettable meal. Cocktails will be specially curated by David Mor and sponsored by Hana Makgeolli.   Seatings will be available at 5:30 pm and 8:30 pm.

The service, style, and spirit of the Coach House were all a sincere delight, and I would go back in a heartbeat. Kind, attentive, warm, caring, and intentional all come to mind when I think about that night. Chef and his team created an experience that felt like being welcomed into someone’s home and being well taken care of by them. The food was, of course, amazing, but I have to give a special shoutout to the chai that finished the menu - I haven’t stopped talking or thinking about it.

Food was great, the chef and sommelier explained each dish and wine pairing so you could taste and notice the little hints in everything. Amazing experience, definitely have to go back

Great food and loved sitting at the counter as we got to chat with the chefs throughout the evening.

The Coach House is an amazing experience. The food is innovative, tasty, and wonderfully presented. I have been to India 7 times and never had as good a meal as the coach House. The Chef should receive a Michelin Star for his very creative work.

Really interesting and delicious meal. I'm pretty familiar with Indian and pakistani food, but this meal introduced me to different flavor combinations and a more refined presentation compared to desi meal I've had before. We really enjoyed the experience and we will be back!

Did the tasting menu. Food was Ok: nothing was bad but nothing was great either. We all left feeling hungry.

One of a kind dining experience!! Chef Mohajir’s creations are a explorative journey through history, time and cultures. You are in for an amazing and unique culinary adventure! Set in an intimate coach house, the intentionally casual and approachable environment invites you to appreciate and explore complex flavor profiles and not be overwhelmed by any of it. The wait staff and cocktails are great too!
