Coach House, 2x James Beard Award and Jean Banchet Award-nominated Chef Zubair's Mohajir’s latest venture, is a Tasting Menu experience featuring a heavy dose of South Indian flavors whilst avoiding direct tradition. Coach House is located in the rear of Lilac Tiger's street food location, on Division St.

Our 7-course Tasting Menu rotates seasonally, and is featured on Friday and Saturday nights at 5:45pm and 8:30pm; this experience gives insight into the culinary traditions that Chef Zubair was raised with, reimagined through a modern lens.

Your experience can be supplemented with one of our thoughtfully-curated wine and cocktail pairings, or you and your guests can select your sipper from our worldly wine list, elegant cocktails, and vibrant and non-alcoholic signature drinks.

In this 7-course tasting menu experience, curated by James Beard Award-nominated Chef Zubair Mohajir, you will be taken through Chef's food memories of his home in Chennai, Tamil Nadu while also exploring the South Asian subcontinent. The Coach House experience honors age-old traditions while pushing the boundaries of South Asian cuisine. No modifications allowed. Tasting menu and wine pairings - loved the duck, scallop and crab and enjoyed all the drinks that went along with the experience. Adored the bit by the sous chef engaging us with the nostalgic theme throughout the evening. Wonderful night.

The valentines day tasting menu w/cocktail pairing was an incredible journey into South Indian cuisine. Chef Zubair takes you on a culinary cultural tour of his upbringing with a undertone of his fine dining journey as well. The cocktails were immaculately crafted for each dish, and we both enjoyed the side quest of learning about the different cocktails. We will definitely return to Coach House.

Such a fun experience and fantastic food. Sit at the bar, watch them cook and interact. Great night.

The Coach House provides invariably inventive and unusual riffs on South Asian cuisine in an informal setting. We have visited several times -- some dishes remain constant, but most are new. Each dish in the tasing menu is more surprising and interesting than the last.

Outstanding in every way! Each dish was artfully prepared, complex flavors, and great back stories. Loved the experience.

The food was delicious! But the service was lacking. There was a replacement chef and we weren’t notified until we got there, which was disappointing to us and also seemed to throw off the spirit and flow of the service. One of our servers was defensive when we inquired about why we were not greeted for long after we were seated. The wine pours were small and uneven; I’d recommend the cocktail pairings instead if you choose drinks. Thankfully, they did comp one of our wine pairings after we complained. Overall not what I expected for the price or reputation.
