We are nestled in the oldest quarter of Belfast and we’ve woven a rich seam of our wonderful Victorian heritage into what is ultimately a thoroughly modern experience. Not a great experience this visit. The place fairly quiet. Only a few other dining customers and a few others having drinks there when we arrived. We arrived 10 minutes early and were told our table was not ready and to wait at the bar. There were five empty tables! Seated at 5pm and left for 15 minutes before we asked for menus and drinks. The staff who sat us were not about and the staff waking about did not know we were in for a meal. Another 20 minutes later we had to call staff over and explain we were there for a meal and have been waiting to order. Overall we were there an hour before we were served food. Not great on a quiet Monday with lots of staff on.

Excellent food ordered curry & cocktail, burger & lamb, all cooked to high standard, cocktail on special offer, no issues, substantial potion for lunch & service very attentive & prompt. Booked ahead but wasn’t too busy as mid week booking, would return

The food was delicious. The seat by the window was great and we had plenty of space. All of our servers were excellent. They came and checked regularly. Fantastic 1st visit

Warm friendly & super efficient staff serving delicious food, compliments to Chef & the team. Luv popping in to Cloth Ear when up in Belfast it's always our go to place.
