There are a wide variety of restaurants in Ludlow, but Clive Arms stands out if you want traditional British food that makes the most of Ludlow’s local ingredients.

Our food is inspired by the seasonal produce of Shropshire and our surrounding counties. Many of our ingredients are handmade at Ludlow Farmshop. Our meat is reared in the fields surrounding us on the Earl of Plymouth’s Oakly Park Estate and is prepared by the award winning butchers at Ludlow Farmshop

Please note, we do add a 12.5% discretionary service charge onto the bill for groups of six or more.

Stayed at the Clive arms and ate there twice, lovely food and great service. Loved the whole site, fab room, farm shop etc beautiful. Highly recommend

Rather sterile dining and breakfast rooms. Would benefit from maybe a few flowers or candles as the actual space is lovely. Food ok. My steak was quite tough but my husbands was fine. Accompanying dishes were good. Service was pleasant

We booked Sunday lunch for midday. Arrived. Early at 1140, we were shown to table asked if we wanted to order drinks which we did. He then vanished! I chased him up at 11:55 at which point he was just about to bring the drinks. ( no apology). At 12 exactly, further staff arrived. We placed our order, I ordered the soup, I was told it would be Tomato and basil. When it arrived.. it was green! On enquiring I was then told it was Courgette.. I sent it back for the promised tomato! (No apology). The mains were good and we enjoyed them. I think for a quality restaurant the staff need to be a little more customer focussed!!

We enjoyed our meal and will definitely return but we found the service rather inconsistent this time. Very pleasant staff but surprisingly slow with some of the service.

This is our third visit to the Clive Arms. Two dinners and a lunch, all three were excellent. Last night we took two friends who were visiting the and they have asked if we can go next time they visit.
