There are a wide variety of restaurants in Ludlow, but Clive Arms stands out if you want traditional British food that makes the most of Ludlow’s local ingredients.

Our food is inspired by the seasonal produce of Shropshire and our surrounding counties. Many of our ingredients are handmade at Ludlow Farmshop. Our meat is reared in the fields surrounding us on the Earl of Plymouth’s Oakly Park Estate and is prepared by the award winning butchers at Ludlow Farmshop

Please note, we do add a 12.5% discretionary service charge onto the bill for groups of six or more.

Our butcher from Ludlow Farmshop will be onsite at The Clive Arms, where you will have the opportunity to choose a cut and weight of steak of your choice – then have it cooked to perfection by The Clive Arms head chef. This butchery steak experience is always very popular = booking is required.

Fantastic value as the portions were generous and really tasty. The service was just right. A lovely venue that I would recommend a visit to.

From the moment we stepped through the door the reception was welcoming. Our table for 2 was in the middle of the dining room but had plenty of space and actually felt quite private. Staff arrived quickly with water and took a drinks order. Perfect timing from food order to delivery of each course. Staff were friendly and attentive. Food was delicious great experience all round.

Excellent Saturday lunch at The Clive. Definitely one of the best places to eat in the Ludlow area. Friendly service at just the right pace, good wine list, nice environment and menu has a good combination of traditional classics like haddock and chips to more unusual dishes such as miso roasted hispi cabbage or spiced mackerel with bombay potato salad. Would definitely recommend.
