Our cooking style is modern British. Chef, together with his team aims to provide meals full of flavour, largely using local, seasonal produce. Our well-stocked wine cellar offers a good selection from Europe as well as some classics from the New World and several wines are available by glass.

                                                A very enjoyable evening, excellent ambiance particularly enhanced by the jazz being played in the bar which drifted comfortably into the dining area. The Jazz evenings are a regular feature so it is worth checking the website if you are a fan of jazz. The staff were helpful and friendly and the food was excellent. My husband enjoyed the venison which was cooked to perfection and I had the sea bream with king prawns with crispy kale which was perfectly cooked and beautifully presented. It was a pleasure to eat at The Cliffe and we will certainly be returning.

                                                I am always a bit reluctant to judge a restaurant on the basis of Sunday Lunch, but there was some choice beyond the conventional which was a nice change and the food was excellent. Welcome and service were also excellent and friendly, a good experience, much nicer than the usual "noisy pub with cheap indifferent food" so common on a Sunday

                                                Wonderful meal, with beautiful flavours. The service was excellent. We thoroughly enjoyed the great jazz music being played live.

                                                Whole experience was excellent, very polite staff , food was amazing , also we were left alone without staff constantly harassing us and asking us if everything was ok , very comfortable atmosphere, will definitely attend again.

                                                We had a lovely evening at The Cliffe, in early September. The staff were very attentive from start to finish. Our meals were very favoursome ...to the extent that we asked about the ingredients used for the delicious jus.

                                                The food was excellent but unfortunately we were sat in the restaurant next to a very noisy party of people and with no soft furnishings or curtains in the room the noise just echoed, also combined with the saxophone jazz band in the lounge even the waitress was unable to hear us to take our order. We were served drinks straight away but then it took 45 minutes to receive our bread and olives. Then finally we got our main course which was lovely, but I feel the service was somewhat slow. Although the food was 100% I’m not sure we’ll return because of the failed atmosphere.
