The Clare Castle Port Melbourne is one of Melbourne's finest pub restaurants. Pub classics are a feature but we raise the bar with amazing char grilled steaks, incredible seafood including prawns, beautiful fresh fish, freshly shucked oysters and our signature Moreton Bay bugs available in numerous dishes. We also have house made gnocchis, vegetarian and gluten free options and many other delights.

We offer multiple dining options: FULL SERVICE in the Restaurant and on the Restaurant Terrace. BAR SERVICE (and optional QR code ordering) in the Bar and on the footpath tables. We also have a private wine room for your special occasion (please ring to enquire about this room).

Parking was very limited, food service very slow. Food dry, expensive for what it is.

A pleasant night and the food and service excellent . Found the cost expensive for a hotel particularly with a surcharge for Sunday night .

Overall we had an outstanding experience. I had the lamb cutlets which were cooked to perfection. Really did enjoy our dinner here .

8 x friends all enjoyed a delicious lunch & believe it was well worth the train & tram trips in the rain from Geelong. Fantastic meal all around. Highly recommend.

Food was as expected for the price. Service was slow to very slow. Once our order was taken food arrived promptly, unfortunately our 2nd drinks never arrived.

Sat in the restaurant section and the service was fantastic by the staff and the food was delicious. If anyone wants to go to a pub for a meal, definitely recommend THE CLARE CASTLE PUB.

Very enjoyable meal. Best mushroom sauce I have had with a steak. Definitely would recommend

Couldn’t fault any part of our afternoon out for lunch @ Clare Castle. My partner had his regular crumbed cutlet's that he loves. I was a bit more adventurous and tried small plates, Morten Bay Bug Roll that was amazing. Could probably eaten 3🥳. Next I tried the prawn spring rolls, again mouth watering food. Service was A1 & everyone is so welcoming. We live on the other side of the bridge in Newport, it’s worth spending money on the Uber trips to get such a great experience.
