Lovely meal, service was great. The waitress even found a suitable low alcohol IPA as my husband was driving. Food was lovely, I had halloumi burger, my husband had the beef cheese burger. Fries were amazing and his burger was lovely. We ended up splitting them both. My hulloumi could have been more browned to add flavour and possibly having pesto instead of guacamole would have made it more flavoursome. Overall this is a great pub, we had a roast the day before and it was superb.

Attentive service from the staff and my food choice of Fish pie (main) and homemade Frangipane Tart were excellent, enjoyed very much.

We were allocated one of two doggy tables, fortunately the couple with the dog on the next table had finished their food and were waiting for the bill, and soon left. We both had the Wye Valley asparagus for starter, excellent, perfectly cooked and in a sauce which complemented it well. I had fish pie for main, partner had gnocchi, both were adequate portions and very tasty. We had a bottle of Romanian Chardonnay and a bottle of sparkling mineral water. I chose cheese for dessert, just one piece and a few biscuits. My partner had Blackcurrant frangipani, a huge portion which would have done both of us. Staff were friendly and efficient. Service is not included in the bill. We will return one day, but make sure that we are not on a doggy table.
