Great spot, hard to find a great location and great food all in one but the Choptank has both

Great outside table on the second level with wonderful views of the Annapolis harbor and sunset. Very good service and all eight picky diners were very pleased with their meal.

I ate a late lunch with friends on the outside deck on a lovely fall day.. Being near the water was so calming. The food was good. Our server, Al, was outstanding. Upon realizing that were were celebrating three birthdays, he brought us a small shared dessert. Lovely location, great ambiance and I would come back.

The chef was definitely off last night. My first dish, a seafood cioppino, was extremely overcooked with rubbery lobster, rockfish fillets you could bounce off the table, nuggets of clam that I could not bite through, and poor shrimp that had hardened beyond edible. I sent it back for a lobster and avocado bomb. Lobster was still overcooked but not as bad as the first. My wife was nearly finished with her dish so I ate what I could and moved on. Waitress did well to try to make things right. But for the prices Choptank charges for its food, I would expect they could hire a quality control person and make sure every dish comes out near perfect. Shame on you and you should apologize to the seafood you destroyed. They deserved better.

We sat outside on the patio on a beautiful afternoon and enjoyed delicious food and excellent service. We’ll be back next time we’re in Annapolis.

The food at Choptank was amazing. The Blue Point oysters were delicious as were all of our entrees (all fish or seafood) and sides. We had three desserts which were also delicious. Our server, Xavier, and one of the managers (Isabelle?) were really great. The only complaint - which they tried hard to mitigate, was the bar. It took us over 40 minutes to get our drinks, which was really not okay. It was a holiday weekend and the restaurant was very busy but it appeared to be very short on bar staff.

We had the loveliest servers! Ambiance was just right. Food was on the pricier side but all worth it. Delicious and very fresh. Will definitely go back to hang in the upstairs bar

Seafood, steaks and sides are great. Server was good checking in on us frequently. We went during a busy time so it was noisy but we didn’t mind. Negatives were the appetizers, a bit underwhelming we came around same time last year and the crab dip was great but this time the new recipe is ehhh. Scallops are great tho if you’re a fan!
