Established in 1992 by Mike Connor with the help of family and friends, The Chop House® has become one of the premier casual restaurant concepts in the Southeast, with 12 locations spread across 4 states.

    We had high hopes for the Chop House, but tonight was not the the night. We arrived and were seated quickly (4*). Our waiter Christopher was great (5*) but was clearly assigned too many tables. We ordered and our drinks came. 20 minutes later 1 of 2 appetizers arrived. 20 more minutes and we were told they were out of deviled eggs (this was at 5 pm). We placed our orders. 3 steaks and 2 pastas. After 45 minutes our food mostly came. One steak looked liked it had been burnt (less ordered medium rare. One steak came out dry and cooked medium well (ordered medium rare). Sides were missing. We finally had to stop another server to ask for a manager. He wanted to cook the steaks again. We declined as everyone else had their food half done. They took our entrees off but would have expected a discount given we had been sitting for an hour and the food was not right, and took forever. They were setting up a table for 15 people and all I could think was those poor souls. If they would had said they were struggling I would have thanked them and found another restaurant. Instead we watched table after table get the same experience. Definitely would not be a place I would return especially for the high price tag and average food.

    We made a reservation and we were promptly seated. It was very busy so it took about 5 minutes for the server to arrive, but after he did the service was outstanding. We placed our order and the food came out in perfect timing. Our salads were delicious and then our steaks arrived as we were finishing them. Our server kept checking on us throughout the meal to see if we needed anything. We both had ribeyes and they were delicious. It was a fantastic evening!

    We visited The Chopped House for a Valentine’s Day dinner and were excited for the experience. The atmosphere was nice, and the service was attentive, but unfortunately, there were a few issues with our meal. My steak was overcooked, and when I sent it back to be redone, my girlfriend’s steak ended up being undercooked. She didn’t want to send hers back since mine had already been redone. Additionally, the mushrooms had a taste that made us question if they were entirely fresh. Another small disappointment was that the restaurant ran out of the cheesecake that was included in their Valentine’s Day deal. However, we were offered key lime pie instead, which we did enjoy. Given the multiple issues with our meal, it would have been nice to see some sort of accommodation on the final bill, but the only price adjustment was $1 less for the key lime pie substitution. Overall, we appreciated the effort from the staff, but the inconsistencies in food quality and lack of consideration for the experience left us a bit underwhelmed.

    Requested a booth with our reservation. Ask again at check in for a booth. Was told we will try I indicated we can wait. Was called and taken to a table. Very unhelpful and disrespectful.

    I normally don’t leave bad reviews, but this experience was terrible. My family visited on Valentines Day to celebrate and we left hungry and very disappointed. Our reservation was at 4:30 and we were seated very close to that time. We ordered appetizers and drinks and received one of the appetizers and our drinks appropriately. The second appetizer arrived about 20 minutes later. After 1 hour & 10 minutes of waiting for our dinner, our food arrived. I ordered a fried chicken tender salad and my husband ordered a filet mignon. My chicken was so cold that I deduced it must have been placed in the refrigerator to keep my lettuce from wilting while they were cooking my husbands steak. Unfortunately, the filet was also cold, but it was cooked correctly. Our waiter was very helpful and offered to bring me a fresh salad with hot chicken and offered to take the filet back to warm it up. My husband agreed to do that hesitantly with the concern of it returning overcooked. The manager comes to the table about 5 minutes later with a plate containing 5 chicken tenders that aren’t cut up and a well done filet mignon. Her explanation/apology consisted of her saying they are very busy and backed up because its Valentines Day. Basically we should just give them grace because of how busy they are. Meanwhile, all the tables around us have eaten their food and are leaving. It took my husband getting angry for the manager to finally just comp our ticket. We left the restaurant hungry after wasting almost 2 hours of our evening. As we were walking out, we found the manager scrolling social media on her phone. Needless to say, we will not be returning to the Chop House. We give grace and second chances, but this was us giving them a second chance. We had the same experience at this exact location last year. We only visit here on vacation once a year, and we will remove it from our list of places to eat. Very disappointing.

    The Chop House is my wife’s and I favorite restaurant we have never had a bad meal or bad service the staff at every chop house is always amazing great job to everyone from the chef to the people that clean
