Established in 1992 by Mike Connor with the help of family and friends, The Chop House® has become one of the premier casual restaurant concepts in the Southeast, with 12 locations spread across 4 states.

    We arrived almost 30 minutes early but were seated right away - awesome! Our friends showed up a little early as well. Our server Hannah was polite & friendly! She did a great job describing the catch of the day & knew the menu thoroughly. The atmosphere was very comfortable & casual without being too casual, but still not being too elevated either. Ideal. Food arrived in a timely manner & was good, although one steak was overcooked. Cocktails were good too. Definitely planning to return.

    That Delmonico was one of the best steaks I’ve eaten in my entire life. Carson was our server, and she was fabulous…except she talked my husband into the most delicious and buttery tasting butter pecan ice cream 😂

    Best Ribeye I've ever had, without question. I had the special 16oz Delmonico Choice Ribeye, and my wife had the NY Strip. Both were simply oustanding. Salad (ceasar) was very fresh and crunchy. Baked potatoes were excellent, and side of broccoli was cooked perfectly. We had the chocolate mousse dessert, which was also amazing. Light and fluffy, so not to heavy after eating such a big steak. Our server was very attentive and knowledgeable, and super friendly. Manager thanked us more than once for coming in. The Chop House is at the top of the list of our favorite restaurants. I only wish I lived closer to one.

    Coming from Boston where the food is spectacular, I thought this restaurant was just ok. I asked the two other folks I was with their rating out of 1-10 and they both said 6. I thought it was pricey for what was given. I wish our plate presentations looked like the pics online :( Started out with Calamari. A big NO. We all just stared at it. A chicken finger was mixed in with it. The shape of them were a "french fry" look with a couple of circular ones. The presentation definitely needs to be worked on 100% if paying that much. Looked like any type of mediocre dining presentation. Add garnishes to the plates, layer food nicer, etc. I did get Chilian Sea Bass which was good but the rice pilaf was mixed with vegetables - kinda reminded me of how I would get my kids to eat their veggies when they were young. Burgundy mushrooms - very little flavor, the presentation was just a ton of them in a dish on my plate. My son's Filet Mignon was cooked perfectly - med rare. He got mashed potatoes and mac and cheese. Again, add different things to the mashed potatoes to make it look more mouth-watering - especially for the value of the dish he got. Example, Mashed potatoes, make them look a little bit chunkier, add parsley leaves, mound them to look like a volcano LOL. The rib eye his gf got was ok - looked dry and she said it was ok. I heard a lot of hype about this restaurant so I wanted to check it out. Again, my recommendations are: 1. Presentation 2. Add garnishes to the plates-make it look enticing 3. Add more to the mashed potatoes - not the typical whipped potatoes and that's it. 4. Work on that rice pilaf Although I can be critical - I did finish my food b/c we were so hungry. Service was great. Made reservations online and waited almost 15 mins before getting seated (not complaining, just sharing what I experienced). Would I go back? Sure, I'll give it another chance to see what their chicken dishes are like. #PersonalChefAtHeart
