Established in 1992 by Mike Connor with the help of family and friends, The Chop House® has become one of the premier casual restaurant concepts in the Southeast, with 12 locations spread across 4 states.

We had a reservation and was seated. Took well over an hour to get our dinner. We were thankful it was worth the wait. It is valentines weekend so we knew it would be busy so it wasn’t a big deal. We will be back!

This was a very good restaurant as far as service and food and the atmosphere and value you can not beat it anywhere. I consider the Chop House a five star restaurant

They were super busy but the service was great. The food..not so much. All the steaks at the table were very dry and overcooked.

It seemed the restaurant was overwhelmed by the number of patrons. Very slow getting drinks food not hot. Steak overdone. Very overcrowded. Not their typical. The manager seemed ambivalent.

Our server was missing in action for a majority of the meal. Once we asked her for something it took forever to get the item. Steak was cooked well but the sweet potato fries were heavily salted. I think the dim lighting is meant to hide the dirty floors. We had leftovers under our table! Cmon you can do better. This was our anniversary dinner. Very disappointed tonight

The staff were amazing! They gave accurate wait times and information and were very accommodating for our family and the service was excellent! Will definitely be going back!

After making a reservation we showed up 10 minutes early only to be told the restaurant was behind 45 minutes from time of reservation. So we decided to wait. After 50 minutes went by we finally received our text that our table was ready. We were then seated and waited about 10 minutes to be greeted by the waitress. At this time she took our Drink and Appetizer order. We told her that we were ready to place our entire order as we have already waited an hour. At this time the waitress informed us that the kitchen was currently running 45 minutes to 1 hour behind schedule. At this point we had had enough. Between the horrible service and poor communication, we made the decision to leave and go somewhere else. We would not recommend this restaurant to anyone! Do not think that if you make a reservation you will be good to go because you won't be! Go somewhere else!!! Stay away from Chop House Dayton!!!

The reservation was for 7:00, when we arrived (on time) we were told they were running 30 minutes behind on reservations. 30 minutes turned into 50 minutes when we finally got seated. Not a single apology, much less an offer for a complimentary dessert or the like due to a nearly hour wait past our reservation time. Will NEVER cheat on Jeff Ruby again!!!!!

We went to The Chop House on Valentine’s Day. Very busy, and was behind on seating by 30-60 minutes. Heard the crew apologize to customers on numerous times that they over booked, it was Valentine’s Day. They were turning away walk ins. Dinning area was cold, but I would say the amount of people walking in and out of the restaurant on a cold night. Appetizer and the wife and my steaks were cooked wonderfully and taste great. We both had a side of shrimp that was overcooked, we notified our waiter and he had it taken off the bill. It was a packed house and hard to hear, but it was a holiday.
