Service was really good but my fried catfish was burnt and tasted horrible. You could tell they had the oil too hot when they cooked it. I’m really surprised they served it to be honest. Won’t be going back especially since they let visually burnt food leave their kitchen. My boyfriend’s steak was perfect though and he shared with me.

Had a delicious dinner at chop house bistro. Our server seemed to be having an off night (had an awkward greeting and mixed up a drink order); but the food was outstanding! Was pricey but was worth it!

Very good experience. Bread and butter were very good. Scallops were excellent ( and we are from the Jersey shore area). Filet was tasty, but I would have liked more char on it. Old fashioned was one of the better that I've had.... even asked the bartender how he made it (and there was a different ingredient). Chocolate cake was just okay. I would definitely go back if in the area.

None of the 4 steaks ordered were cooked correctly. Two were so bad they were sent back. When one returned it was completely wrong again. They did offer free dessert for all but none of us felt like eating any by that point.

Nice meal of excellent fried catfish with perfect asparagus, my friend really enjoyed s steak and macaroni and cheese . Appetizer of corn chips and crab salsa is worth a try. Ending the meal with a deconstructed cheese cake is a taste treat finale. Look forward to returning.

My wife and I went here on a trip to the mountains near Luray. The parking is tricky as it is limited, so we parked on the street across from the restaurant. The restaurant is in a renovated two story house, and we were seated upstairs away from the more lively bar area downstairs. I had their version of a Manhattan and an Old Fashioned, and both were excellent, with a single large transparent cube for the Old Fashioned. My wife had a dirty martini, which she said was very good. I ordered the ribeye, which also came with a homemade horseradish sauce made in house. My wife ordered the scallops, which she said were the best she’d ever eaten. I tried one and she wasn’t exaggerating, it was excellent. We had a focaccia bread basket that came before the meal, and it was delicious. My side was the chèvre macaroni and cheese, fantastic, and hers was the duck fat fries. The only negative was I thought the ribeye, while very tender, could’ve used a little more seasoning- perhaps a butter bath would’ve cured that, but otherwise an unexpectedly enjoyable experience.

Made reservations for a birthday while vacationing. Was sat upstairs in what felt like a hallway. The view from the window was the roof of the neighboring building. Would have preferred better seating. The server was adequate. Lacked warm hospitality and menu recommendations. Seemed a bit frazzled. The filet mignon was overcooked and we had to send back. I hate asking to recook food but it just wasn't what we ordered. Always awkward. Drinks were just so-so. Nothing outstanding. It was overall adequate but lacked that feeling of a memorable meal.
