Established in 1992 by Mike Connor with the help of family and friends, The Chop House® has become one of the premier casual restaurant concepts in the Southeast, with 12 locations spread across 4 states.

The Chop House in Augusta Ga. Is one of our favorite places to go for special occasions. They have the best Prime Rib in this area. The service is great. We use OpenTable for making the reservation with greatest of ease. We highly recommend The ChopHouse and OpenTable!

My prime rib was mostly fat. I got the 16oz and left hungry because I could only eat half of it.

The service was terribly lacking. From the person who sat us, waitress and food runner it was clear they were not in customer service. The waitress had three tables and seemed overwhelmed. We never got bread, I had to ask for a cup of ice three times. When we received the salad it looked like it had been prepared three days ago. I got a steak, baked potato and mushrooms. The steak I will say was delicious, the baked potato very bland and the mushrooms had a strange after taste. We were asked if we wanted our check before we finished our meal. I will not return. If you are looking for a good steak place you would be better off somewhere else.

We celebrated Father's Day with a friend and her father. Our table was ready on time and I was happy about that. The food was great and so was the service.

It was so hot inside did not even order drinks after waiting 5 minutes. Everyone in there was fanning. I left before I passed out

After ordering our food, the waitress noticed she had forgotten to put the ticket in the kitchen. This was 20 minutes after the order was taken. She had to retake the order, so it seems that she probably lost the ticket. The dinner was good, but took way too long to just sit and wait.

This is the second time we have been here. Two people ordered the filets and they both really liked them, however one person ordered the burgundy mushrooms and they weren’t delivered until the meal was almost over and that was only because we asked where they were. Two people ordered the crab cakes and one person really liked them but I found them a lacking as there was no sauce that accompanied them. I had the chopped blue cheese salad and it was delicious. I would consider ordering this as my main course if I went again. Another diner ordered a salad and he too thought his was delicious. An appetizer of onion rings was ordered as soon as we sat down and did not get to table until after salads and right before main course. Overall it was a good experience and we would go again.

The food was good and the service was great however two patrons were involved in a verbal confrontation and the staff had to separate the diners. After that we were ready to leave the premises immediately. I will say the staff were immediately notified and the situation was descalated.

Overall our dinner was delicious, this was our first time experiencing The Chop Hoise and we will definitely be making another trip soon!
