Welcome to the Chequers Inn, a unique Sussex gastopub with featuring in the AA, Michilin and MasterChefs of Great Britain guides. We have an outstanding reputation for fine food, excellent wines and handpicked local ales.

Our menus are simple yet delicious. We offer a contemporary take on classic British and French-inspired cuisine, with every dish freshly-prepared in our country kitchen.

    Every time we visit it is always great food and service. We travel 65 miles to meet family 1/2 way and it is worth it just for the food. Today fantastic Tandori Partridge as a stater. Best restaurant in the Horsham area.

    A regular midway meeting place with friends. Delicious food - the game sausages were terrific - friendly & efficient service in lovely surroundings. Worth driving a little out of the way to visit.

    Enjoyable for the most part but we found the pub very noisy and at a table for two being seated near a much larger table did not make for easy conversation. The food was fine and the service good as well.
