Always lovely. Food gorgeous and staff always so welcoming. We love coming here. The snails and asparagus starters are favourites and the creme brûlée to die for.

Sat outside on a beautiful sunny day … garden was very busy but our waitress was wonderful. Food was excellent especially the asparagus

We had a lovely time at The Chequers. There were three adults and two children. The adult meals were great as you’d expect, but I was also pleased that there were nice meals for the children that they enjoyed. My 6 year old ate up every single piece of his decent sized tomato pasta dish. There was only ice cream on the kids dessert menu so I had to order them 2 adult sized sticky toffee puddings. Maybe this dessert could be added to the kids menu? :) Great that it has a garden and a small play area which are visible from the outdoor tables and a little distance away so that the children don’t disturb the diners. The kids would like to feed back that they enjoyed the play area but can it be bigger please! If it was I think we’d be there every sunny weekend! ☺️❤️☀️

Beautiful country pub in the heart of The Chilterns. The interior is stylish and very welcoming with an open fire on cold days. There is a big garden with plenty of seating that is excellent on a sunny warm day. The quality of food is superb. Just a note on visiting at a busy time (a warm lunchtime) that you may have a bit of a wait for your food. It was worth it! Prices are pretty typical for the offering of great food in a lovely setting.

This is the third time we've eaten here. It's always a very high standard and never disappoints. The staff are friendly and attentive. Food took a long time to arrive on this occasion but this was probably due to a sudden rush with the good weather and lack of staff. Otherwise it would have been 5 stars for everything.

As always a wonderful experience! Delicious Sunday lunch with the best soup I’ve had in a long time, and wonderful service. 10/10!

We had a fabulous time, excellent meal and excellent service with really friendly locals. Would highly recommend to anyone visiting the area and we will most certainly come back again in the future! Thank you so much!
