Dined outside in hot sunshine but no umbrellas Service was very slow Food was not to the usual standard.

Delicious, good portions and vegetables that tasted like they should - well better tbf. Friendly bar and waiting staff and a lovely feel to the place. If we lived nearer we would use again and again.

Have been to Chequers many times for Sunday lunch but recent vegetarian option meal I had was lovely and can't complain about anything was delicious. Apparently roast beef and pork was really nice as well. Would definitely recommend to visit.

Popped in for lunch. Sat outside under an umbrella. Food and service were top class. Mini fish was lovely and batter was superb Chips and peas also good. Waitress was relaxed and helpful. Overall a great experience and one we intend to repeat soon.

Lunch in the bar, staff as always warm, friendly and very efficient… shared the tacos to start followed by the hake on crushed new potatoes with a white wine sauce that lifts the dish to a new level.. Too full for pudding….definitely next time.

Not as we remembered the Chequers the service in particular left a lot to be desired. The staff just were not trained in service, reaching over people to collect dishes!!!. The food was ok but now no specials board was a disappointment. We will leave it some time and check reviews before we book again.
