The Chefs Table est un petit restaurant indépendant au cœur de la ville de Chester, proposant les meilleurs produits locaux dans des menus de saison en constante évolution. L'établissement travaille en étroite collaboration avec ses fournisseurs, particulièrement avec une association de producteurs biologiques sous le nom de The Natural Veg Men, située à 24 km du restaurant.     Amazing venue for a wedding anniversary lunch. Lucien, our waiter, was attentive and helpful. The chef must be congratulated for an amazing dish of excellent fresh food. Definitely coming back for more.

    Superb as always. Congratulations on winning all your awards recently. Big thank you to Cino for recommending me the most delicious wine. We have been going to the Chef’s table ever since it opened in Music Hall passage. Loving the new premises. First time we had been for Sunday lunch roast and if certainly did not disappoint.

    Absolutely first class from start to finish, Staff were friendly, helpful and very knowledgeable. The food was outstanding and flavours to die for! We were so impressed we are coming back for the roast dinners.

    A belated birthday treat with very relaxing fine dining experience. It is good to have such a treat once in a while and we all enjoyed our menu choices and the wine chosen by the sommelier.

    Having been to the original Chef’s Table we looked forward to our first visit to the revamped restaurant in it’s new location but overall it was a disappointing experience. For starters we each chose the scallops & cod loin. The cod was lovely but the scallops had been sliced in to thin slivers of which I think were about 4 on the plate – barely half a scallop. Prepared this way they didn’t have a great texture and were not bursting with flavour either. There was a heavily battered leg of a soft shelled crab on the plate too which mainly tasted of the batter. For the mains I had the pork dish and my wife had the lamb. The pork belly piece was very good as was the rib, but two other pieces of pork were quite tough with little flavour and the whole lot along with the hassleback potatoes arrived only luke warm. The lamb was beautifully cooked and had a lot of flavour but was a bit overpowered by the dark heavy sauce which had been poured all over it. It would perhaps have been better as a winter dish rather than in mid July with the sauce on the side to add as you wanted. The courgette flower which accompanied the lamb was just a leaf, heavily battered which dominated the taste. The side dishes of roast seasonal vegetables and parmesan mash were very good. I tried the Weetwood Pilsner beer which was excellent but when I asked for another was told that they had run out of beer – not just the pilsner but all beer and had just 2 cans left – despite being supplied by a local shop which is about 5 mins walk away! Overall the food was good, but not excellent, overpriced for what was served (about £80 / head) and the whole experience sadly is not memorable and did not live up to expectation or previous experience.

    First time at the ‘new’ Chefs Table, excellent lunch menu offer. Food extremely good and ambience good in a very attractive restaurant. Definetly on my list!

    Beautiful food, as always. Two courses for £30 and 3 for £35 - excellent value. We will definitely be back. The roast beef was absolutely delicious!
