D'après les éditeur·rices d'OpenTable : This Tex-Italian stunner was the original restaurant within the Duro Hospitality group, with sibling spots Mister Charles and El Carlos Elegante going on to make it into the MICHELIN Guide. But first, The Charles set the tone with leopard-spotted banquettes, zebra-striped chairs, golden bauble light fixtures, and other epic design details. Many come here for special occasions, to feast on pillowy lemon ricotta gnudi and octopus charred on the woodfire grill. If the evening calls for a glass of Champagne, start next door at the equally swanky Bar Charles before dinner at The Charles.

Our evening at the Charles was absolutely the way all dining experiences should be… warm welcome .. attentive knowledgeable waitstaff ..amazing food ..perfection!

This was my first time at The Charles. From the minute we walked in, it was fabulous. We got the best seat in the house and the service was impeccable. The waiter was able make some of the dishes vegetarian for me. After dinner, they escorted back to the speakeasy and they brought our dessert there. It was a great night. I will definitely be going back.

Austin did a great job and was helpful and friendly. All staff were very attentive and efficient, and the food was fabulous!

From the moment we arrived the staff was wonderful! The service was friendly, fun, professional and efficient! The food was interesting and prepared as described. Very fresh seasonal and cooked to perfection! We will definitely be back

We had the most incredible experience at The Charles! From valet to paying the check, each and every service member we had the pleasure of interacting with was SO polite and attentive! Every detail was perfect. And the menu was beyond. Will definitely be back soon

The restaurant is great, we wish the menu was a bit more expansive. The staff was great but it felt that they were a bit too attentive, we felt a bit rushed. Multiple staff members came by multiple times to try and collect plates while members of our part were in the restroom. Also, the ambiance is cool, but it is a bit too dark honestly.

Salvador, Thank you for joining us for Blanca's birthday. We appreciate all feedback, and we take every note seriously and use any opportunity to improve. We understand that our style of menu is a bit different than your typical restaurants. Our menu is designed for you to try a little bit of everything, and it is not portions that typical "Family style" restaurants present. Our dishes range from small to medium sizes for appetizer styles and pastas, but our entrees are 9-12oz besides out Long bone tomahawk. I love that our team was attentive but looks like they were a bit too much. We have reached out to you personally, and we hope we can remedy the situation to welcome you back. Really great experience. It was our first time that going, and we went to the back for drinks in the private bar. Our waitress did a great job of guiding our food journey for the evening, and we shared a bunch of plates that were really tasty and complemented our drinks. We had the Kingfish Crudo, which was impaired well with the lemon ricotta gnudi. The pasta was fresh and had herbs incorporated into it. The winter berry drink was the best. We understand why this is a Dallas staple.
