We loved our experience! We got there earlier than our reservation so we ended up at Bar Charles first! The drinks were phenomenal and the food was superb. Also, our server was very nice and attentive.

Ambiance was exactly what I was looking for dark, dimly-lit, classy, and personal. Our server was amazing. The servers that weren’t ours were amazing. The manager, who came to greet my date and I, was amazing. Surprisingly the value for the food was phenomenal. The cocktails were amazing, I truly recommend the espresso martini. I couldn’t have asked for a better restaurant for our 3 year anniversary. Thank you to all the staff that were a part of our reservation for 11/09/2024 at 5:15. - Ashar Alvany

The Charles is a must visit. A MUST. The food, drinks, and ambiance are always a vibe - absolutely incredible. And… can we talk about the service?! Everyone greets you and makes sure you always have everything you need. They anticipate your needs before you even have to ask. The recommendations and friendly demeanor are excellent. Jonathan and Nate made my birthday truly special. I have celebrated my birthday at The Charles 3 years in a row if that tells you anything about this marvelous restaurant. Jonathan - your service is unparalleled. You were hilarious, kept us on schedule, there was nothing better that you could have done. 10/10 thank so much! Nate - thank you for checking in and introducing yourself. Your team is truly amazing and I will see you guys next year!

This was our first time to The Charles and we will definitely be going back. The service beginning with the hostess and the entire staff was excellent and the food was absolutely delicious.

As always, service tops the list with 5 stars. We enjoyed both salads very much. Pasta special was excellent. Branzino was very good, but the very large amount of the side was too much. I would have preferred a vegetable. Again, we were served our salads while starting to enjoy our cocktails. I prefer to have wine with my meal, but had to ask for it. I don’t enjoy eating with a cocktail. Wines are overpriced with only a very few under $100.

Our server, Max, was absolutely terrific. Great recommendations. Very good service without being intrusive. Our table was not great. It was the last table in the bar with limited lighting and next to a service station. The food was very good and not the traditional Italian fare. I would recommend but be clear with the hostess staff or in your reservation to avoid this table as it could spoil your evening if you don’t have excellent service to offset it.
