D'après les éditeur·rices d'OpenTable : This Tex-Italian stunner was the original restaurant within the Duro Hospitality group, with sibling spots Mister Charles and El Carlos Elegante going on to make it into the MICHELIN Guide. But first, The Charles set the tone with leopard-spotted banquettes, zebra-striped chairs, golden bauble light fixtures, and other epic design details. Many come here for special occasions, to feast on pillowy lemon ricotta gnudi and octopus charred on the woodfire grill. If the evening calls for a glass of Champagne, start next door at the equally swanky Bar Charles before dinner at The Charles.

The service was outstanding from the second we pulled up to the valet stand, and the speakeasy in the back is a cool feature

Dinner was fabulous. Drinks were well crafted and suggested based on our food choices. Kara and Max were attentive and made great recommendations. Nate and Josiah made us feel welcome. All of the staff looked happy and invested in The Charles. We will be back for sure.

We loved returning to The Charles. From the moment we valeted the car to our delicious dessert was outstanding. The service above and beyond, Winter was a delightful conductor of our evening’s delicacies. We enjoyed the two appetizer specials - the stuffed squash blossoms was the clear favorite, so creamy inside yet crunchy out, paired with the little celery salad to cut the richness. YUM! Nice price point for wines, we enjoyed a lovely Chablis we had not had before. Wonderful experience - worth every penny and a return.

My boyfriend and I dined here for his birthday celebration, and I cannot rave enough about how great this was. Not only did the host say happy birthday to him, our waiter said happy birthday to him, and the manager came by and said happy birthday as well. The service was impeccable. The food was some of the best I’ve had in Dallas. Our waiter, James, was so nice and kind and I’d love to go back and have him.

Absolutely phenomenal! From our warm greeting when we were swept away to a swanky speakeasy vibe to our exceptionally attentive server Travis, we were absolutely enthralled with our visit. The meal was as tasty as it was creative and Travis was well versed on the menu, so his recommendations were spot on! Definitely a “do again” on my dining experiences list!

This place was great food but the portions were a bit small to be considered shareable. Server was wonderful! However they knew we had two birthdays in the group and did not do any candle or anything to celebrate which was a bit disappointing for such a high price point.

Our dishes range from Small to Medium portions with our meat/seafood entree styles ranging from 9-12oz. We apologize for not making that clear and getting y'all something to fill in those gaps. We're also very sorry to hear about the candle celebration, we'll definitely take that into consideration.
