    The Chalet Oktoberfest is a pre-set menu with reservations in our beer & wine garden only. This is a rain or shine event. The beer and wine garden is an outdoor deck with umbrellas, has three seating areas, upper, lower and side deck. The preset menu will be pretzel, choice of Roasted Chicken or Sauerbraten served with black kraut and dumplings dessert will be choice of black forest dessert or apple strudel non alcohol beverage included. Alcohol, tax and tip are additional. There will be live entertainment by Mr. Prost from Cincinnati, OH. No Show will be charged $55 per person. When making reservation please include if you want Roasted Chicken or Sauerbraten, black forest or apple strudel.

Appetizer--Fried Halloumi with honey, walnuts, & pita bread; Salad Course-Greek Salad -spring mix, cucumbers, tomatoes, kalamata olives, pepperoncini, feta cheese, & red onion with lemon oregano vinaigrette. Entree Course--choice of Souvlaki -marinated & grilled chicken & lamb skewers, serve with tzatziki sauce, tomatoes, feta, fries & pita bread. Dessert course --aPhullo custard with lemon glaze and pistachio dust.

    The Chalet is just a perfect dining experience. The food is high end, and delicious every time. We started with the BACON WRAPPED APPLES, then the Peach and Mint Gespacho, our Entrees were Shrimp and Lagostina lobster paella. Dessert was Peach Cobbler with Ice Cream. Our server Ruthie was fabulous as always. If your in Somerset, KY it is the best all the way around.

    We enjoyed celebrating our wedding anniversary at the Chalet! The food was amazing as well as the service and atmosphere! We definitely recommend it!

    It was lovely and likely yes the most gourmet you will get in this area. The potato leek soup was the winner so get it. Crab cake was all lump no breading and delicious, under salted/seasoned, but still great. the shrimp skewers were over salted so they may need some fine tuning on seafood. Filet minion not rare plus as asked but med rare was fine and cheesy mash was great. The surf and turf dinner filet was perfect rare plus and was marinated or something as it had so much flavor. Warning the saffron rice was delicious but it did have pork in it and was not stated in menu. Not an extensive wine or liquor options esp after dinner drinks. Service was very good, but there was more passing of cups and plates than i am used to for “fine dining” Out the door for $200 with tip which is phenomenal for what we got. Would recommend. Ask for the loft you fet a ciew of the restaurant. The patio looked stellar as well.

    They had scallops and flounder! Both were amazing. So nice to have this great restaurant in town. A town with wall to wall fast food. And it is so close to our house we can even walk there.

    Location and ambiance are great. Food was a little uneven. I will try it again but won’t rush back. Prices are reasonable for the type of food on offer.

    Everything was amazing. The special menu for the evening was even better than I could have imagined. Made for a perfect date night.

    We really enjoyed the Chalet! Definitely not a place to go if you are in a hurry, but for a leisurely meal when you intend to savor every single bite, it was perfect! Generous portions and attentive and friendly staff.

    We have been meaning to try the chalet for sometime. We don’t live in the area but we come to the area to vacation. This is probably the most upscale restaurant in the area. It’s a white tablecloth type of place with nice music playing in the background. You can also eat outside on a nice large deck. I saw people dressed up, people in jeans and people in shorts so I don’t think there’s any kind of dress code. I thought it had a very extensive menu. In our group one person got surf and turf which was a fillet and a skewer of shrimp, two of us had the veal with risotto and one person had the paella. He also had fried green tomatoes as an appetizer. Very good. Two of us had salads one the strawberry salad and I think the other was the house salad. The strawberry salad dressing was way too tart but I did ask for a sweeter dressing and added that and it made it palatable. I had trouble with the veal dish. The veal was a bit tough and the risotto was just way too salty. The desserts were excellent. We had the mango creme brûlée and the other couple had a five layered chocolate cake that was just so moist and delicious. We would certainly go back as I would like to try it again and just hope that the over salting of the dish was just a one time thing.

    First of all, I really like this restsurant and the food is exceptional. HOWEVER, this time was awful as the venue is small and a large party of 28 with MULTIPLE TODDLERS, an infant and small children were taking up most of the main dining area. The adults allowed these children to run around screaming, falling, crying etc etc etc. I asked both the server and the host to intervene, they did not. There were multiple open tables on the second level but we were not offered the option of moving where at least the kids could not have been rolling around on the floor next to our table. We were a table of three there for a birthday dinner. Our tab was over $250.00. I do not think it is unreasonable to expect a reasonable environment for this pricey environment. In addition, we had an extended wait for our entrees and the scallops were delivered room temperature. I did not send them back because the host and server were busy moving tables back and sweeping up, and had not been responsive to earlier requests. Overall, a VERY DISAPPOINTING EXPERIENCE!!!
