At the Cartford Inn, we offer a brand of hospitality that is truly unique, hallmarked by an award-winning restaurant, boutique hotel, delicatessen and art gallery. Our location is enviable, with guests able to enjoy panoramic views of the Ribble Valley and Fylde countryside whilst dining. Our décor is quirky and eclectic, in keeping with our building’s 17th century heritage, but with a modernist twist.

Of course the main attraction is our 2-Rosette winning, Michelin recommended restaurant. Run by head chef Chris Bury, we offer the finest quality food without the fuss, in an atmosphere that is warm and unpretentious. Expect a discernible French influence, evidenced by our renowned French onion soup – a dish that is well worth a visit in its own right.

Visited the Cartford a few years ago and kept meaning to go back as the suckling pig sharing board was amazing, The service was first class and the atmosphere was that good pub vibe you want on a Sunday. This time round there wasn’t really a specials board, just the usual Sunday lunches (the lamb which to be fair was amazing and the beef, which was good but fell short of the mark or at least of what we expected). My son had fish goujons, which was actually 1 piece of breaded fish, with chips and peas, which he enjoyed. Service was mixed, no children’s menu was brought to us, so I asked for one and ten minutes later I asked again… standard 10% service charge which is reasonable I guess. This is discretionary but overall I felt it was fair. We sat at the opposite end of the pub up the small straps this time, which felt quiet and lacked atmosphere. Almost out of the way, maybe this is due to us taking a 6yr old and the cartford does have certain rules around bookings with children. Maybe we expected too much based on our first visit but as it’s a 45 minute journey, for us it’s a long way for a Sunday lunch. Overall, 7/10. Might go back for a 3rd time lucky visit but with so many stand out places in the northwest… maybe not.

Excellent place to eat...staff very attentive and rhe food was excellent. Well worth a visit.

Excellent night out. It was our date night and they made it special for us. Food was fantastic. My partner even went as far as saying it was the best restaurant meal she'd ever had. The staff were all great and in particular Jackson who looked after us very well. Highly recommended!!

Really enjoyed my experience at the Cartford Inn . My friend and I chose to dine in one of the Greenhouse s as the weather was perfect dining outside so to speak . We chose our dishes from the lunch menu and were not disappointed . We shared the corn fritters absolutely delicious then I had the Greek salad with honey and figs whilst my friend had the fish pie . Both were the perfect size and very tasty . I would definitely recommend a visit it made for a very special day .

Decided to eat here at short notice from a recommendation from a friend at work, was looking forward to a Sunday lunch but because we ate late their was no Sunday lunch left. But ko problem we had steaand suet pudding which we enjoyed very much it was absolutely delicious.

Well looked after Inn, definitely worth a visit. All requests were carried out re accessible seating.
