Carlton Wine Room is a neighbourhood restaurant offering a well-executed, fresh, seasonal food menu, and an ever changing, diverse wine list featuring the best of Italy, Australia and the rest of the World. We offer a bar space, an upstairs restaurant dining room and three unique spaces that are can be booked for private dining perfect for special events.

RESERVATIONS: are for a two hour sitting. We do not accept bookings for drinks and snacks, however we accept walk-ins for this if space permits. A surcharge of up to 1.2% applies to credit card transactions. A surcharge of 10% applies on Sundays and 15% on Public Holidays.

OUTSIDE SEATING: please note this is subject to the weather and we may not be able to move your reservation inside in the case of bad weather.

CANCELLATION: A $50 per person no show fee is charged for failing to attend your reservation. Contact us on 9347 2626 to make changes or cancel your reservation.

The restaurant staff were fantastic and they catered towards our pescatarian requirements. We had the $95 Daily menu and there was so much food. We loved every single dish and felt that the servings were extremely generous. The cocktails were great too. It was great value for money and I have already recommended Carlton Wine Room to my friends. One other thing to note was that we were cold downstairs and the Staff kindly moved us upstairs to a comfortable and spacious area. We cannot thank the Staff again for going out of their way to accomodate us and make our night out truly memorable.

Perhaps my expectations were too high but found the food mediocre by Melbourne standards. I love Melbourne and the food scene here is incredibly strong, there are better places.

This place is a gem. Outstanding food along with lovely table service We were upstairs in a private booth which was perfect and very cosy. The dishes we hade packed so much flavour and definitely one of the best restaurants we have ever eaten at.

Amazing food and wine selection! Some of the very best in Melbourne - would highly recommend going here!! Also very good with catering to a friends nut allergy :)

The only place I have ever discovered where the oysters are just perfect. Assisted by a superb wine cellar and great staff. A real treat.

We went there for a business meal with an international visitor from US. It was a set menu. Everyone had a great time, food was great, wine selection was great, service was great and staff were very helpful with wine selection. I’d highly recommend this place.
