Open seven days a week, The Capital Grille is best known for our expertly prepared steaks, which are dry aged in house for 18 to 24 days and then hand-cut by our restaurant's on-premise butcher. The Capital Grille's wine list features more than 350 selections, and its floor-to-ceiling wine kiosk regularly houses 3,500 - 5,000 bottles. Reservations are recommended but not required.     We visited The Capital Grille to celebrate our 51st anniversary. The parking attendants were professional and courteous; even opening the restaurant door for us. We were seated at our appointed time and quickly served with water and a basket of breads. Our server, Antonio, came and introduced himself, and took our drink order (two glasses of champagne). He returned about five minutes later (with the champagne); told us about the dinner specials, and took our order for our appetizer (we had the Lobster & Crab Cake for two) and the wine we selected (Freemark Abbey Cabernet). Upon returning with the wine and crab cake, Antonio took our order for the main course (Sliced Filet for me and Grouper for my wife with a shared side of asparagus). The champagne, wine, and food were excellent; service was superb. Several times during the meal restaurant staff came and congratulated us on our anniversary. We ordered the Creme Brûlée for dessert; they then presented us with a second dessert (in honor of our anniversary) which was a combination of their Cheesecake and Flourless Expresso Chocolate Cake - all served on a beautiful silver platter with a "congratulations message" written in chocolate. All in all it was a beautiful evening and an amazing dinner.

    The food was delicious and the drinks were good. Yuzu highball, in particular. But honestly, the service was what separated this place from other restaurants in the area. Angie is absolutely great and the supporting waitstaff were super on point. Thank you for a nice time.

    Another 5 star experience at this location. Probably due to the Management Team and their expertise in hiring top tier people for all positions.

    fortunately we are able to eat there frequently and have been served by rita for a long time..she is the best.. so attentive and kind..she make the meal.. in my opinion capital grille is the best steak house in the northwest suburbs..food is always delicious

    We have dined at The Capital Grille (Schaumburg) annually to celebrate our anniversary for the past 8 years. This was the first time that our experience here fell short. I had stated in my online reservation and confirmed over the phone that we would be celebrating our anniversary. When we arrived at 6:25 for a 6:30 reservation, the hostess began to show us to our table. My husband made a funny comment about it being our anniversary and the hostess stopped and said to wait just a minute she had to check something. We walked back to the lobby and waited a few min, and then she took us to the table. Clearly they had forgotten it was our anniversary because it was obvious in the table presentation. Every year the table has been decorated nicely but this was a 2 second version. Right across from our table was a couple also celebrating a wedding anniversary with flowers on the table and lovely decor and a little sign. This was what we had expected. Our server was moderately attentive, the martini's were not filled to the top (normally we have one in the bar and it's a great pour), and then we replenished our own wine throughout dinner because our server barely came by to see if we needed anything. The asparagus was the skinniest I've ever seen and completely overcooked. My filet was medium only in the center and overdone everywhere else. When the server asked if we wanted dessert we said maybe so she handed us the menu said I'll be back. My husband and I said that's odd because they normally bring you a platter that says happy anniversary with two small dessert samples. Sure enough the server came back with the platter and said sorry here is dessert. We loved CG and chose to dine here but moving forward we will consider other local options. The cost of our meal did not correlate with the service and food this time around.

    Capital Gruppe never disappoints. The Schaumburg location is among the best of the Capital Grille locations I have been to. Frank was a stellar server and made for a pleasant experience.
