Make it a day to remember. From birthdays and anniversaries to professional milestones, we aim to make every gathering special at The Capital Grille. Open seven days a week, The Capital Grille is best known for our expertly prepared steaks, which are dry aged in house for 18 to 24 days and then hand-cut by our restaurant's on-premise butcher. The Capital Grille's wine list features more than 350 selections, and its floor-to-ceiling wine kiosk regularly houses 3,500 - 5,000 bottles. Reservations are recommended but not required. I had dinner with my daughter at Capital Grille Skokie on Friday, September 6, 2024 from approximately 6:00 p.m. until 8:30 p.m. We sat at the bar for drinks, then dinner. Our bartender, Chris, was polite, courteous, friendly and efficient. Everything about the evening was excellent. We enjoyed the friendly atmosphere at the bar; we enjoyed the drinks, and then we enjoyed our dinner also while seated at the bar. We shared crabmeat cocktail, a lobster & crabcake, lobster macaroni & cheese, a caesar salad, and a bone in New York Strip steak. Chris brought us three different dipping sauces for our steak. Dinner was great.

We went for lunch to celebrate our anniversary. Everything was great. Food, service, location and ease of parking were all excellent. My wife had the Tuna and I had the ribeye. Both were delicious. It was our first time here but we will be back!

We were celebrating our son’s 30th bday. The restaurant could not have been better. When we arrived, the table was decorated. A birthday card was at the table, we were offered, at no charge, glasses of champagne for a toast and a bday dessert. Our server, Erica, was attentive and helpful. All in all, we enjoyed the evening.

Capital Grille.is especially great for a special occasion. Table was prepared with a card and confetti. Several birthday wishes from the staff and a complimentary dessert. Food was great namely the crab and lobster cake. Prices were fair but to no fault of the restaurant I don’t understand why people don’t dress appropriately for dinner anymore.Overall a great experience.

We had a great experience thanks to our server Albi. I hadn’t been to a Capital Grille for many years and have to admit that for the hefty prices, I thought the steaks would be better. The au gratin potatoes were fantastic though!

It was my birthday celebration--second year in a row. They make you feel special with a birthday card and a delicious dessert. They let you order first too! The food is delicious, the service is great and I highly recommend the Capital Grille.

Very nice atmosphere. We had an excellent waiter and we all liked our food. The scallops and steak were very good and their coconut creme pie is worth the calories.

My breast of chicken had way too much black pepper so it didn’t taste good. Onion soup was good. Filet was good with mashed potatoes. I ordered mushrooms with my chicken and the server forgot to bring it and then finally brought it when I was almost done with my chicken. Bill was wrong on the servers fault. For an anniversary dinner , I was disappointed. It was very nice to have champagne and dessert comped.
