Make it a day to remember. From birthdays and anniversaries to professional milestones, we aim to make every gathering special at The Capital Grille. Open seven days a week, The Capital Grille is best known for our expertly prepared steaks, which are dry aged in house for 18 to 24 days and then hand-cut by our restaurant's on-premise butcher. The Capital Grille's wine list features more than 350 selections, and its floor-to-ceiling wine kiosk regularly houses 3,500 - 5,000 bottles. Reservations are recommended but not required. Last night, my wife and I tried the new Capital Grill which recently opened in Newtown, PA. The new restaurant was beautiful inside with multiple rooms and a very nice bar area. We liked some things about the new place, and we weren’t pleased about some other things. The staff was very friendly and worked hard to please. The music in the dining area was very loud as our table was located directly under a speaker. It took our waiter a bit of time to greet us and take our first drink order. Unfortunately, the staff seemed somewhat out of sorts at times, especially once the restaurant filled up. The drinks took noticeably longer than normal to be delivered but the cocktails were well made. For our appetizer, we ordered the Lobster and Crab cake for two. It took 40 minutes for the appetizer to be delivered, and the item was not big enough for two people to share. It was about the size of a slim hamburger. For dinner, I ordered the NY Strip Steak and my wife ordered the Sliced Filet Mignon with Cipolini Onions. Both steaks were cooked to proper temperature, but my wife’s steak was almost a third fat, which is not what you expect from a Filet Mignon. Overall, the steaks and our sides were tasty. At the end of our meal we mentioned our concerns to our waiter, which we never do. Since it is a new restaurant we thought our comments would be helpful. Management offered us a free dessert, which we declined so the management ‘comped’ us a round of drinks. Being that this restaurant is only operational for I believe ten days, we can certainly understand that some kinks need to be worked out. Most concerning to us was the size of the appetizer for two and the quality of the Filet Mignon my wife ordered. We will try the restaurant again in a few weeks and we hope our next experience will be better as the crew become more experienced in their new place of business.

It just opened a few weeks ago so service was all over the place but what worried me the most was the quality of the Kona steak which was awful. This steak quality has been perfect for the 15 years I have been ordering it but now it is lower quality. Not sure dinner was worth 400 bucks for three people.

I have eaten at many Capital Griils around the country. The Newtown restaurant maintains the high quality you expect from the Capital Grill. I am so happy to have this establishment in the neighborhood! The food was outstanding. Service at our table was excellent. The only service glitch was how long we had to wait to be seated. We arrived on time for our reservation, but waited 15 or 20 minutes to be seated, even though the restaurant was not very busy. Minor inconvenience. We will be back regularly for sure.

We were very excited to hear that The Capital Grille was opening in Newtown. We had reservations, but decided to have dinner at the bar. The bartenders (Joy and Jen) were so nice. We ordered all of our favorites and everything was excellent. We had Calamari, Wedge Salad, Filet and the Au gratin Potatoes. And of course a Stoli Doli! We were not disappointed and will return.

I have no words except “outstanding “. Everything we ordered was perfection ! Lobster crab cake, truffle fries and Sea Bass! Excellent and can’t wait to go back again !

Our visit was on the 2nd night of regular operations, but you would never know. The service was outstanding (ask for Lou to be your server if you want a most enjoyable experience)! The food quality and presentation superb! Portions are good sized - you will be full if you finish everything. We definitely will return!
