The Cape Restaurant & Beach Bar is a coastal neighborhood restaurant that offers New American Coastal cuisine.
Situated in the heart of Avalon, the restaurant derives decor inspiration from various beach locations around the world, where diners often comment on feeling as though they have escaped to places like Los Angeles, Miami and Cape Town upon entry. Popular dishes like the Tuna Tataki, Red Butter Curry Halibut and Ostrich Bolognese showcase Yebo's unique and boldly flavorful twist on global dishes.

Open Mondays through Sundays, guests can dine outside on the rooftop patio with views spanning down the entire Avalon boulevard or inside the main dining room surrounded by surf boards, textured pillows and hanging greenery; all designed to transport guests to a chic beach bungalow.

Very nice intimate ambiance inside, there is also outside and rooftop seating. Service was great, food was delicious. I had the lamb and ceviche and both flavorful. The drinks are nicely crafted with great presentation. I will definitely return in the near future. Customer service was top tier and the staff is very friendly.

We had lunch at The Cape Restaurant and Beach Bar for a friend's birthday. Sitting upstairs, our service was outstanding as was the food and ambiance. Highly recommend! Oh BTW the mussels were delish as was the Kale Quinoa salad!

This was our second visit to the Cape, and it was a great visit. The cocktail & mocktail options are always solid andtaste like a premium product. My wife and I really enjoyed the food. Great atmosphere. Our service was very prompty, friendly and genuine. Thank you for a nice date night experience!

Celebrated our wedding anniversary - first time visit to this restaurant. Ordered the Frittura Mista as starter - wonderful taste and enough to share. Entrees were equally excellent : the Grilled Salmon and The Halibut. The Halibut was most inpressive - because of it's unusually beautiful pure white color and texture. All accompaniments equally good. Only note - they do not offer substitutions when ordering the Entrees. Restaurant's interior is beautiful - did not visit the roof top. Overall great experience - will definately return.

Charming place in Avalon. We enjoyed our lunch however it’s very expensive for lunch. We had a Caesar salad with Salmon and a Halibut entree. No appetizers or beverages. Lunch was plentiful but we had no leftovers. The bill was $80 with a tip. For that price I usually have leftovers. With so many options in Avalon it’s a shame they don’t have a lunch menu or lunch specials with a more reasonable price point. I would love to have enjoyed an appetizer as well but didn’t want it to be $100 lunch. If you’re not on a budget it’s a lovely place to dine.

My husband and I have dined here a few times and we’re always pleased. We like a couple of restaurants in Avalon, but many of them just seem to be lacking (effort from staff, food, cleanliness etc). The Cape and its staff always make us feel welcome and truly happy to have us in. We appreciate all of their attention and effort they make. We ate upstairs and were told that they add gratuity to your bill automatically. I don’t have a problem with this. They are running up and down those stairs all night long. Carrying drinks and meals. Our delicious drinks came out in a timely manner. I ordered a Paloma (which was excellently balanced, not on the sweet side, exactly how I prefer them) and an Old Fashioned. Which must have been delicious because he ordered a second! My water glass never went dry! Appetizers: shrimp ceviche and bobotie crepes. This was outstanding. Chunks of fresh coconut, tomatoes and avocado & some kind of little pepper with a snappy bite, perfectly played against one another! It was a wonderfully balanced bite! The bobotie crepes were such a fantastic surprise. My husband enjoyed them so much. The crepes were delicate, yet they held the hardy combination of ground beef, raisins, spices and sauce. They were a sweet & savory experience. Then entrees. I had halibut with curry on coconut rice. Oh my heavens! The fish flaked into thee best little bites, snuggled next to the rice (which honestly, I would have been tickled to have just a big bowl of the rice and sauce! That was for me, my favorite along with the ceviche).Let’s not forget my husbands steak and frites with the chimichanga sauce. He’s not one to get excited about food, he did however, on his own accord use the words “outstanding” for his steak. It was cooked brilliantly medium rare. Every moment dining here has been excellent. I do recommend that if eating inside, you bring a sweater. It is refreshingly cool inside. Their bathrooms are tidy and clean. We can’t wait to go back!

I absolutely LOVE this restaurant! We got the the red snapper, shrimp tacos, cauliflower curry and arugula salad. Erik our waiter was excellent.
