Join us for Afternoon Tea in Athens Georgia! Finger sandwiches, scones with house-made clotted cream & jam, tea desserts, tea (18 loose leaf teas to choose from), and bubbly, each component of our Afternoon Tea is made by hand, with rotating flavors through the seasons.

Join us for a delightful tea tasting event at our cozy cafe, where you'll sip on a selection of our house blended loose leaf teas. Indulge in an array of delicate finger sandwiches and decadent desserts as you mingle with fellow tea enthusiasts. It’s the perfect way to spend an afternoon, making memories over a cup of tea! Event starts at 3pm. We are reservation only, because our little cafe has limited space.

We had a fun afternoon tea party! The tea flavors were delicious and the food was great, however adding gluten free scones, more dessert options, and a dairy free cream cheese would be excellent. Those of us with allergies-intolerances appreciate wonderful food experiences too when eating out. I was appreciative of the options they do offer! I hope to find more next time I come. It was a delightful place, and I will definitely come back again!!

Made a reservation for royal tea, and still waited an hour for our food to arrive. This was not communicated at all by the staff, and I had to hunt a waitress down after 45 mins of waiting at a table who said there was a “miscommunication in the team.” No manger came out to speak to us and no one offered anything to make the situation right (refund, free desert, etc). I made a reservation weeks in advance and they could still not get our food out in time. Not one staff member smiled at us the entire time we were there and they all acted as if they wished we weren’t there. The food was a solid “meh.” The sandwiches were made of bread that had obviously been sitting out on the open air for too long and were dry and hardening. Quite unappetizing. The other pastries were ok, but not worth the amount of money we spent, and no one in the group wanted to take home any of the leftovers, which says a lot! Only thing they did outstanding was that they made a tower of pastries with no egg or honey whatsoever for my friend with an allergy, and she had no reaction to the food they made her -they even put it on a separate display thing just for her! A genuine thank you for that one! I would suggest a “royal tea” experience here for someone with a young daughter who wants to pretend she’s a princess for the day, and not for any adult who wants a genuinely pleasant experience.

This was my second time trying afternoon tea. I got the royal tea, which came with more food and desserts, along with a glass of bubbly. The tea sandwiches could have had a little more filling. The filling and spread they used on the bread could have been spread from end to end of the sandwiches.The sandwiches we're dry. They did not improve from the first time I'd tried them. The candy brittle covered in chocolate did not set. The brittle was grainy, no crunch, at all, which a candy brittle should have. I suspect the sugar did not disove properly. I mean, I bit into the brittle, and it was like eating sugar, one poured out of a packet. They should not have put it on the tray to serve. The scones that came with lemon curd, jam, and clotted cream were so yummy. I wish I could make them at home. I would suggest that a staff member should try the food to see how everything was tasting before assembling food and sending it out. I think they would have caught the sandwich issues, along with the candied brittle. The tea was delicious. I had asked for it to be seeped longer than 5 minutes, and it was better for it. I got the English breakfast, and the Paris. I paid before I sat town to tea. I left a 20% tip. However, no staff after I got my tea and food stopped by to check on how things were tasting or if I needed anything. Although, to be fair, maybe staff just wanted to let guests be to enjoy the tea experience. This experience just taught me to reserve the tip until after the end of the meal.

The food was delicious and the atmosphere was perfect. From the time we checked in at the front until we left everyone was courteous and there to help if we needed anything. I have been there several times for the high tea and always enjoyed it.

The tea service towers were not very good at all. Chicken salad was tough. No clotted cream for scones. The vegan option was pitiful. A piece of burned toast cut in half with jelly on the side. The peanut brittle was too hard to eat - it could have broken a tooth. The best thing was the tea itself. Very good. Will try another place next time

We went for the Low Tea service on a cold, rainy day. One of our party is gluten free, which I had failed to inform the Cafe. They produced a lovely GF tea option for her and we were all delighted with our food. It was tasty and beautifully presented. Service was minimal. The room was not noisy or cold. The online parking directions were accurate but still inadequate.

The idea was great for high tea but the server completely ignored us and I had to get up from the table any time I needed something. The food and tea were great tasting but way over priced for the experience. The server was not very clear on how the portioning worked for the table before hand. The reservation website details also did not inform me of how much anything was in terms of cost or what it included. Only a vague description. The chicken salad was very dry in the sandwiches. Macarons were half sized (TINY!) rather than a full macaron. I had to get up to request water then again to request service and then again to get my own to go boxes. We were uncomfortably close to another couple having tea and ended up bumping into them. Overall it wasn’t a great experience and I wish I could have done something more special for my friend’s celebration.

Customer service was awful, lady at the ordering counter was exceptionally rude. “Comments” you put during reservation are apparently your final order and you don’t get to choose what you want at the restaurant (this wasn’t mentioned anywhere during booking). They won’t call to confirm what you want but will assume everyone in your party wants the same thing. Scones were pretty good, finger sandwiches were very dry and desserts were subpar. Tea was steeped for a little too long making it quite a bit bitter.

Lovely time. We had the place to ourself, Simple setting, nothing fancy. Food was good, nice variety, the scones were exceptional. A little pricey, for what you are getting but happy to have a local option of afternoon tea.

All was delightful. There could be a little more of a tea decor present. Tea cups should always be white and not stained when presented. We enjoyed ourselves. Glad there is someplace to have a tea party.
