Service and ambience was lovely. Food was okay but seemed overpriced for what you got. Knew the prices before going and was happy to spend more for a birthday occasion but the food didn’t live up to the price . Had a main for £20 and it didn’t come with any side so I had to buy chips on top. Also the burger came it was pink in the middle but overcooked on the outside. Maybe we had a bad time as the light sandwiches another table had looked amazing.

Lovely interior. With a group of friends. Table booked and first in when it opened. Drinks ordered, which was fine. Food ordered and had to wait a long time for it to arrive. One friends foccacia sandwich was cold, as if come out of the freezer, bread dry as was supposed to have olive oil on it and didn't. Dish replaced and much better second time around. The leaves of my salad with my dish were very brown around the edges. Another friend had the fishcake from the starter menu and she really enjoyed it. We were given £2.40 off the total bill. Overall, lovely place but food quality needs improving.

Food was nice the only thing I'd complain about is the speed of service is abit slow but the food was nice and staff are nice. We were running late and they waited for us to get there which was really nice of them. I would definitely go again it was a lovely Sunday dinner...

One of many trips we've had to The Cadeby and as usual we left satisfied. This is a great little gastro pub with a welcoming atmosphere, unique decor and excellent food.

There was nobody else eating in the dining room so lacking in atmosphere. I had informed the pub that we were celebrating my cousins Golden Wedding Anniversary and they were visiting from Australia but no reference was made about it and no acknowledgement of it. The starter, garlic mushrooms on toast did not taste garlicky and were served in an over thick glutenous paste. The fish was swimming in grease so didn't eat the batter . In another meal, the egg with the gammon was strangely presented in a sort of deep fried breadcrumb. We did not complain because we did not want to spoil the celebrations so that's our own fault but it's a shame as we've been here before and enjoyed it. Service was ok.

Family get together lovely food, excellent waitress who was non imposing but was able to have a giggle with us - we will be back thank you

The Restaurant environment was lovely with a friendly manager / front of house. However my partner and I found the service to be quite poor. The waitress was clearly inexperienced and needed further training. Her interpersonal skills were lacking with no greetings, dietary requirements not asked and no full cutlery laid out compared to other tables. It often felt like we were forgotten about when we had to often long periods of time to get any waiters attention. We received our starter before getting drinks, in which we had to ask for them again. The waitress also got my parters dessert wrong twice. When I had to go to another waitress to say the dessert was wrong for a second time, they got quite defensive rather than just outright apologizing about the situation. I ended having to request a refund once I had gotten the bill as my partner was fed up of waiting. I also caught the waitress serving us messing around with a kitchen staff member between the entrance and the kitchen clearly showing a lack of professionalism. Luckily, I am quite calm tempered because I am sure other customers might have been angered by the situation. However on a positive note, the food was spectacular and value for money. It was a shame that my partner could not have had her first choice of mains or dessert as they had ran out. The atmosphere was comforting too. Overall, the food was great, but the service needs improving.

We’ve enjoyed the cadeby before but was left with disappointment this time. My wife ordered Caesar salad without anchovies, it came with anchovies and when told she ordered without, they simply took them off the plate and reserved the dish. That’s not good enough. Her portion was small for £12 £6 for side of some broccoli?! Artisan breads (starter) may as well been from the bakery at Tesco. We left disappointed
