The Butchers Tale presents a fresh approach to the culinary world of artisanal meats, bringing back favorites and introducing new tangy, melt-in-your-mouth options including Wagyu beef, double-cut smoked pork chops, our smoked beef long rib, grilled oysters and other extensive seafood offerings.

Disappointing meal last night, this place just isn’t what it used to be. We had the following Oysters - as small as a quarter, terrible value Fries - good, but too many, serving was enough for 4+ Buffalo shrimp - fabulous Crispy Brussels sprouts - bit undercooked as they were still quite firm, great flavor though Two sausages, evening special one was great, pork and cheddar was so/so Mushrooms - very good Key lime pie - great but a very small slice for the price Drinks here used to be world class, Manhattan and vieux carre were very average. My wife had an old fashioned which she liked. Espresso martini was a very odd light brown color, flavor was ok but the look was off and again very average Total bill for the above was in excess of $300. For that, I simply expect better.

Amazing experience! Service was friendly and very well informed, food was amazing and timely. Only complaint would have been where we were sat, felt very close to the door and impersonal. We heard them move our seat in front of us upon arrival and were a little disappointed by that.

Great experience over all. Portion sizes are amazing and many options are very shareable. Great whisky/bourbon list and the servers were all awesome. I would maybe add in some additional dessert options, but that is a minor tweak to an already outstanding menu.

This was a BIG, special celebration for my Aunt’s birthday. I wrote it on the reservation & told our server. (Not that it was ever acknowledged…) I spent time researching the right restaurant; we flew-in & my Aunt is an experienced foodie. Our table seating area was a wonderful side room. That said, for one of our most expensive dinners (it’s a high bar with other fabulous restaurants) the Server really deflated our experience. I got the feeling maybe his girlfriend broke-up with him or he lost a game; otherwise he’s just normally rude, short & annoyed at everything which I hate to believe. It began when my husband asked if he had any suggestions for our son. (He is 7 and very experienced with eating in nice restaurants.) The waiter said, Yeah he’d like the Australian wagyu Ribeye. — We waited for the punchline as this is $130 plate. That was it. He said it then walked off. Later I attempted again. (Usually a server has some suggestions of a smaller cut filet or the macncheese without the truffles; maybe the burger.) Do you have any suggestions for child? He says, no. I said, Could you possibly do a smaller filet or… And before I finish he cuts in to say, No we don’t. To start the meal I asked if he could tell us about the menu or what they’re known for because it was our first time. He says, Yeah of course I will be back to do that. (As if even the question was beneath him.) Later he READ the special off a board to our table and that was it. I ordered my steak & before I could add a side he moved on to the next person. I had to insert myself to finish my ordering. We had a good time with our family but it was not the dinner experience we had planned. The steak was good; the food was nice but our bill was over $1000 for 6 adults and a child’s lemonade. We each had two drinks. Randomly towards the end, the Waiter walks up, interrupts our conversation and says - Can you hand me that fry plate? As if we are going to pass it down the table to him! I’d like a do-over.

'Great menu, cocktail and wine selections - especially for foodies. The execution was outstanding and our server was very knowledgeable and gracious. One of our guests said it was the best meal he's had in the Metro. 'Great location for pre/post theater dates with several convenient parking options. 'Recommend in a heartbeat.
