We really enjoyed our lunch visit & will be back. The only issue was that we ordered our food at 12pm and it came at 12.45pm. Was 2 sandwiches and 2 salads. Luckily we weren't in a rush. Food was delicious! Only small thing was that a nicer bread for the sandwiches would have improved it overall.

Ordered the chilli steak and the seafood linguine both came fairly quickly as one would expect of freshly cooked food. We both thoroughly enjoyed our meals. I must also mention a good selection of cask ales. Staff were friendly and efficient, we will be back again.

We had a very enjoyable evening last week and all the food was of a good quality. The restaurant was quiet when we arrived, but quickly got quite busy, and was almost empty by the time we left which surprised us for a Friday. Service was much better than our last visit and we all enjoyed our visit.

Sunday lunch and seemed to be short staffed when we arrived at 1:30 so not much table service. Food and drink were great. Pub was busy. It’s such a shame that a tip cannot be added using the credit card payment. The staff must miss put on quite a bit of income as a result. I had to ask for some change from the till.

Really nice and a good menu, a little different to most gastro pubs. Very enjoyable for a Tuesday night and quite busy. Good beer and drinks options

Food was good quality Service wasn’t very good. Food and drink order was taken promptly but after the food was delivered, we never saw a staff member for the rest of our visit until they came to clear away the plates after the main course

Food was excellent, steak cooked to perfection, both enjoyed our food. Beer was excellent too.

We had a table of 6 and were served promptly. All staff friendly quite busy but still not an inconvenience to ask for anything.

Last year we went to Barbados on holiday and made friends with two other couples, one from Hull, Yorkshire and the other couple from Maidston in Kent. They travelled a long way oth of them to spend time with us. We took them to Chester fro a day, to a national trust property near Wrexham and to see the aqueduct 126 feet in the air nearby. Having been impressed by those visits we only had the evening meal left to impress them with. We booked the Bulls Head and boy were we pleased with the choice. The staff were great, the food was amazing, we all had different meals and we all commented on how good the food was. One of the couples went back to the Bull for lunch before setting off home. Thank you all for an amazing experience. We'll ba back.
